I was kinda looking forward to seeing the donkey lady and flying people.
I've got pictures of the repair here: http://hardforum.com/showth...
Sony wanted $150 to repair a dead PSU, I replaced it for ~$40.
Now I still got a problem with my PS3 knocking the PCs off the internet. Think it keeps acquiring IP addresses that are already being used.
Well I didn't say anything about "maxing out." It's been my argument all along that you can build a relatively cheap gaming PC and play games at the same settings as a console, which is usually 720p with 2x/4xAA or 1080p 0xAA.
Budget Gaming/Workstation PC I recently built for my girlfriend:
Case: Thermaltake LAN box - $70
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 635 - $100
Motherboard: MSI 785GTM-E45 - Bundled with CPU
Memory: 2GB (1x2) Kingston Hy...
How can you post from that bubble bath? ;)
Anyhow, I agree. And for the hell of it, I'm giving you even MORE bubbles.
Said it wants this excuse back.
Are you kidding me? The PS3's RSX and the Xbox360's R500 are ~5 year old GPUs. Don't think for a second that they're any more than their desktop counterparts.
For console games, 720p with 2xAA/4xAA or 1080p 0xAA is usually the case. 1280x720 with 2xAA can easily be done for any of the GPUs I've listed. I know this first hand having owned Oblivion on both platforms back in 2006. My X1900XT (R580) was and is still capable of the same, if not better, visuals....
Citing delays on DLC releases is hardly enough reason to suggest the EA or Activision are completely shifting their interests away from one platform in favor of another.
That's a whole lot of ugly. "Sharp" but uuuuugly game.
Want to see Crysis 2 at that resolution, then the fried remains of the rig that attempted it.
Your point is that none of these upgrades are necessary, right?
That's YOUR choice. You can game perfectly fine at console resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080i/p) and settings with 4-6 year old hardware.
Of course, if you want to dial up the anti-aliasing, texture filtering, lighting, shadow, textures, LOD, etc. all while maintaining the highest resolution possible on your display... then you'll have urges to upgrade frequently.
I'm primarily a PC gamer and have multiple rigs (for LANs) idling by with GeForce 7800s,...
Ahh, but I think I'll stay far far away from anymore Koei games. Played one, played them all.
Thank you for the spoiler alert, Duke. I wish I could read past the first sentence, but I haven't finished DA:O, ME2, and may pick up Heavy Rain soon.
Interesting topic nonetheless. I know I developed strange "bonds" with video game characters before, much like how some (myself included) become attached to TV/movie characters.

I was looking for a Dynasty Warriors alternative, remembered renting and enjoying KUF: Crusaders, then eBayed it shortly thereafter.
My IGN research showed no news on KUF2 until this little gem! Fighting in a bikini and high heels hasn't looked this good since DOA.
I agree, memory card incompatibility and no bundled play & charge kit cheapen the bundle slightly. However, the memory card and HDD portability are both taken care of with USB "thumb" drives. You can format up to 16GB (FAT32) of any USB thumb drive.
No visible screws on the HDD, must be snap in. Valid complaint. Peripherals tend to be overpriced. Did they even try to pry it open though?
Different power plug. Well, IIRC, the last 2 revisions of t...
They miniaturized the GPU/CPU and brought them under a single die (45nm). All heat generating components under one roof with a massive heatsink and fan to cool it AND added the overheating fail safe.
Covering all your bases isn't a bad thing.

But you wouldn't. You're really going to talk on the phone, chat in-game, and play a game all at the same time?
With XBL's party chat, I can chat with friends playing different games, or even if we're all in the same multiplayer games, but on different teams. I can send invites to everyone in my party so that we can move seamlessly from one game to the next.
Personally would like to see more dedicated servers given these are paid services, b...
Perhaps PDZ. It's the worst 360 exclusive that I own anyway.
Had more enjoyment from ODST's firefight alone than all of PDZ, and even PDZ didn't do bad critically.
Try it: http://support.xbox.com/sup...

wasn't as spectacular as I hoped. The girl just turns into a splash of red mist.
#5, the NPC dialogue gets annoying after the first 30 minutes. "That deal almost ruined me," and "they say John Marston was a hired killer for the jews." over and over.
One of my favorite RDR passtimes has go to be ramming wagons with my horse. Hitting the 1 passenger wagons at the right angle and speed will send the horse, ride, wagon and all tumbling ove...
