"So is my character from beta not going to be carrying over?"
+bubble up for making a funny!
But to reiterate what everyone above me said, it sounds like there won't be anything to carry over to.
It's only one reviewer saying he's changed his mind about gameplay. Not the whole media. And I think he's got a solid view on gameplay now, even with his take the tv pushing MS is still trying to do.
I see this game as MS' attempt at a franchise like infamous (super powers and all). It should be a good game and will hold people off until later this year in the fall when other games come out.
I think the concept of remote play is really to have it on the go. I've remote played from across my state back when I was in college (~400 miles). It's an awesome feature!
If remote play were only tied to being on the same network, it really serves no point.
I expect most people who do to get the least expensive version of that upgrade able Xbox. I mean the only thing the upgrades will do is provide better resolution and graphically stability. Something that most Xbox fanboys have stated they don't care about and that they "play games not graphics".
Oh wait, but then they'll probably say "it's better to have options". Like the option to get an already available console that plays those games bette...
"I’m the kind of person who plays games like Skyrim or Fallout and immediately ignores all missions in favour of wandering. What can I find? What will I see?"
Exactly! This has been their message all along about what type of game it is. Not dodging, no downgrade tactics or false advertisement of gameplay or even worse...the story. None of that.
If you want to go guns blazing into the game. Go ahead. But if you complain that it's nothing like Ha...
True, but they at least have a good track record compared to devs like Ubisoft or EA.
No need to rush the polishing! Plenty of games coming out each week on the PS4!
Thankfully it's not just one game in April and then nothing till the holidays lol
"Yep microsoft totally stopped selling when they hit 20m lmao this guy is ridiculous. im guessing its 25m for xbox and 35m for sony."
I'm pretty sure it's even more dumb to suggest that 900,000+ PS4s simply vanished from the 35.9 million they announced... two months ago exactly to today.
So Xbox sold 3 million in two months and the PS4 sold 2 million in those two months? (Basing off what you said and the fact that EA said 55 million at the end of January).
Yeah I don't think it worked out that way. Simply based on the trends of the last year or so.
Getting to make money from the competitors fanbase through your PC platform...while de-valuing the other, is Genius. Fixed it for you ^_^
The value of the brand Xbox is helped. The hardware is not. That's how it works. I expect a universal Xbox app across every competing device (allowing you to play MS game software) within the next 5 - 10 years.
Good to know that they don't from the consoles themselves. But through their sales each is able to make profit from published games.
Let do a simple example:
40 people own PS4s - Sony get $5 from every game published bought on a PS4
20 people own XOs - MS get $5 from every game published bought on a XO
If each person from both groups buys the same game, and each group gets the same amount per game. Who makes the most profit? I...
You really shouldn't be discussing this matter if you think sales aren't a metric of profit lol
Best 1st half of year lineup? Talk is cheap, and unfortunately a lot of people are buying into it...
And by first half, I guess he means release something in April and not have anything till Sept/Oct?
When did I say it was flawless? All I said was that they added these great features and you're complaining about one that does nothing for your gaming experience.
If you want more UI features instead of gaming features, you bought the wrong console.
They added all that stuff, and proper PC/Mac game streaming through Remote Play! And I'm sure its not tied to your local network to play. Yet you're complaining about stuff that has no affect on your gameplay?
Some people will always have something to b*tch about.
What in the world are you talking about? Is this even on topic?
I think eventually this is what will happen. It keeps the brand alive long after console are gone in the far future.
It only makes sense with MS being a software company. Their hardware will eventually phase out. You'll see tablets years from now and computers years from now playing old and new games with a simple Xbox Live subscription.
Sony is ahead with this with PS Now to some degree. They already said PS4 streaming is coming to PC and Mac. And it...
I was blown away at the different locations shown! I was thinking it would be primarily in the region they showed for the first gameplay demo.
It looks absolutely stunning though! This is how exclusives should look. No need for any of that "dynamic resolution" BS.
Since when is buying out a company good? Are simple business concepts that hard to understand?
Yeah they kept touting it in their "best line up" ads and pushed it right before the suspected fall launch in 2015. They even showed it in those monthly Major Nelson videos saying how great it runs, which to me made me think it was just about ready. It's not the first time unfortunately that this has happened to a game though, and it won't be the last.
I likewise wish those at this studio the best of luck! I'm sure their top talent will be picked up by s...
