I'm 100% sure there is a full on charge for it....
I was surprised by it, knowing how invested in hardware Sony usually is each time around. I currently only stream Netflix in 4K since it's the only available content I have for my TV. So it affects me little. But the option would be great.
I'm sure what surprised MS even more than that was that Sony provided HDR capability to all 40+ million PS4 owners at no charge.
Sony has been open to cross play since the longest time. Here's an example to prove that, while the selective PR spin from MS continues.

They speak for themselves based on interests. There's enough variety of launch games that there's no reason to push one over the others.
If there were only 1 or 2 games coming out this holiday for PSVR, then it would make sense to push them like crazy.

It's fantastic, but people have been waiting 10 months for games like this from MS. How is that even acceptable?
That's been one of the perks this gen! And none are behind paywalls.
I would say that in terms of free to play games, War Thunder and Planetside 2 are the top contenders. Wish they were on Xbox too since my buds (who love tactical games) play there.

Price point won't change much over the span of a year. Not for current tech like that. At least that's what history has told us in the gaming industry.

MS hasn't confirmed anything other than 6TPs and next holiday launch, yet people have been speculating on all types of nonsense.
