I thought it was just 'good'.
The biggest let down for me were the story and characters, Lara just acts like a selfish brat with daddy issues throughout the whole game and doesn't seem to care about who gets hurt in her crazy pursuit of the Divine Source, most of the characters are forgettable.
The 2013 game was a lot better.
Not a fan of the d-pad or the stick placement especially for that price. My regular controller will do just fine.
This is hardly you're run of the mill remaster though, everything is being ecreated from the ground up brought in to modern visuals and technology. People keep buying remasters, the demand is there and they will keep making them as long as this continues.
From your comments it seems like you are a Nintendo fan, how many ports and remasters do you think the Switch will get? I bet it will be a fair few, will you still complain then? I bet you'd gobble up a Mario 64 r...

Please be true but PLEASE don't be VR exclusive.
I actually prefer the previous game, I found Lara's constant selfish attitude and being angry throughout the game to be annoying, the story and characters were a lot worse. It just didn't feel as epic to me.
Absolutely crazy numbers, and I am one of those. Can't wait to play on the 23rd.
It's Forbes, they have been on a pretty hefty anti Pro/Sony crusade lately.
This article is ridiculous.
'and what they do offer (4K video upscaling) is likely a negligible improvement, if at all, over 1080p video. Some games, like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, are upscaled to a higher resolution with no great visual improvement while simultaneously performing worse.'
First of all, there are games than run natively at 4K, a lot of games scale down from 4K to 1080p on your 1080P TV giving out a noticeable improvement called sup...
Don't know why you are getting disgaree's for stating facts, Samsung blow LG away when it comes to input, LG have stunning looking panels but input lag is not in their forte and I'm not sure why people are damage controlling it, for me anything higher than 35 is very noticeable and sadly most LG's are around or exceed this.
But Phil said he would never fund a game that would release on a rivals platform, so did they fund it then? No by Phil's logic.
Yet MS throw cash around for Tomb Raider, Titanfall, Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and 4. Much hypocrisy.
34ms of input on the E6 was the only thing putting me off, that's why I went for the KS9500.
lol dailystar
I was hoping the Pro version would hold a more solid framerate at the very least, from the demo it seemed a bit choppy to me.
Looks promising so far. Give the games, specs, price, features to sell me on it.
If it has some big 3D pokemon game on it, I would be sold day 1.
Agreed, please don't be a prequel.
It's definitely better than the first from a gameplay standpoint, I find it more fun to play. But it is weaker from a story standpoint for sure, and I think the first game has a slightly better atmosphere.
Infinite is radically different, still a good but doesn't hold a candle to the first two.
Yeah they were selling out extremely quickly at that price, paving way for the Slim and Pro to start hitting the shelves.
Rushed? 4 had a longer single player than any previous title in the franchise and is a fine cinematic adventure experience with a robust MP to go with.
Rise does some things better but to say this isn't even close is a joke, the story and characters in Rise are absolutely trash and the 2013 game does a much better job in this regard, thank god they ditched the awful MP though.
