Was hoping for a proper showcase, these dripfeeds are rarely that exciting, but I guess they might be waiting until after GoW to ramp up marketing or reveals for other games.
Proud of copy/pasting the same generic, drab, live service, open world grindfests the last 5-10 years?
Only my switch has constant problems losing sync with the joycons, never happens on my PS5.
I dunno why you're bringing this up here, it's just a teardown of a new model observing less weight and power draw which is only ever a good, but you usual suspects that creep in to every PS article just to bash it is becoming exhausting, nobody is happy about the price increase, and I'm no fan of Jim Ryan but acting like this is gonna make Sony fall off a cliff is an exaggeration propped up by Xbox fanboys.
Do you always have to come across as such a condescending arse? You talk about fanboys but you're a massive Xbox fanboy clowning on playstation in every article under the sun lol.
It's simply a teardown and analysis of the new console, Xbox fanboys seem really defensive about this after the power usage article from the other day...
Yeah, a few timed exclusives (which ms still do plenty of btw) really compares to a 70 billion publisher...
"Let's not forget Activision approached Sony first regarding a buyout!"
Gonna need a source on that, what would give Activision the impression that Sony would somehow have 70 billion to spare?
In fairness Jim only came out with this because Phil went public last week trying to placate regulators.
I still believe Sony can and will thrive without CoD, but when that day comes, it will be a hammer blow for sure. With how much Jim has been going on about live service and then the bungie deal, maybe try make a competitor? CoD has waned a bit the last few years so it would be a good time to try at least.
"you think sony would be this gracious?"
*looks at the bungie deal* yeah potentially.
When MS bought 2 publishers and not making a dozen/more IPs unavailable in the unforseen future on a platform where they have decades of history on? A handful of timed/console exclusives don't really compare to that at all I don't think.
Sony really don't have the bargaining power though, FF has never been particularly popular on Xbox and I can't see how that would appeal to MS, the best Sony could do is say oh well all future Destiny/Bungie content won't be on Xbox then but MS wouldn't really care too much I don't think.
And this is why you can never believe a word that comes out of Phil's mouth, I'll give it until the end of this gen at the leatest until they pull it from PS, and I can't say I'm surprised by this at all, nobody spends 70 billion to help their direct competition forever and Phil was always tiptoeing around this with his wording lol.
According to dusk golem, the SH2 remake is by bloober team, not the best choice imo but I'll reserve judgement if that one decides to rear it's head again any time soon.
It'll have good legs, especially once it drops from 70 quid.
They are bored, xbox has been a barren wasteland of releases so far this year, maybe another yearly forza will keep them entertained for a bit and remove this game from being rent free in their heads.
It'll have legs, especially when the price comes down a bit, same can't be said for the mediocre Saints Row I don't think.
I think setting the bar is a bit high, but they have solid stealth gameplay and I really enjoy it. For me it's hard to top Deus Ex and MGSV in this department.
I'd love a remaster of this on modern platforms, shame konami don't seem to care enough, I get it may be complicated due to product and music licences, and references to the PS3 and Cell CPU, but it's still a shame.
There's also the DLC weapons and persk like the tactical shotgun, frontier rifle, bomb expert 3 that kidna ruined the balance for me, but I really enjoyed it and was quite at it for a time.
Saying that I think the Factions game they are working on has potentially to be big if they nail it.
