True, also doesn't help that the switch hardware is severely outdated at this point as well, but that's not to excuse Gamefreak being inept.
Pretty happy with mine, 60fps, higher performance on some BC games, blistering load times, better visuals, going back to PS4 is painful now, the difference is night and day.
Ok yeah for sure being held back by last gen to a degree, but we have a handful of great looking current gen games, well on PS5 specifically at least.
@aura nothing earth shattering about the series S lol.
Noooooo, this is super gutting :/
6 month timed exclusive of a game in a series that's always seen considerably more success on PS.
Spending 68 billion on a publisher who's games have also largely been significantly more successful on PS for the lasy time.
Doesn't seem remotely comparable to me.
This must be sarcasm surely lol.
Hellboring 2, if that's anything like the first game it'll send me to sleep (I played the first long before MS bought it out).
Also isn't Ark 2 a timed exclusive? Perfect Dark is a long way from reality. Not to say that list if all bad games, it's not, but it's a stretch,
Again, why are we using two poorly optimised games as an example of this? It's premature thinking, Plague struggles to run consistently even on good PC's lol.
Stevivor will be ready and waiting with his 4/10 once the dust settles a bit lol.
An impressive piece of tech and I knew it would't be cheap, but £530, wew lad.
I miss those games too, but I really dislike the modern MP of either lootboxes or rampant predatory monetisation via battle passes or something else, I miss paying for a great MP experience right out of the box and what you would was what you would get it.
I hope the factions game turns out to be good.
Same, tbh I only really care about Crash and Spyro but they both seem kinda dead after Crash 4 which is a shame, worse case I'll grab them on PC once I upgrade my GPU soon.
This smells like the MGS3 rumour from a while ago, 1964 is when the game's set.
The Switch seems to get a free pass for any performance or technical issues for some reason.
I don't really agree, we have games like Ratchet, Horizon (may be cross gen but the PS5 version is stunning), Demons Souls that can run at 60fps and look gorgeous, 2 poorly optimised games across all platforms is hardly an indication we're gonna suddenly return to sluggish 30fps with heavy motion blur.
Poor little guy worth 2 trillion can't possibly be expected to create new studios or IPs, they are being oppressed by a company worth 20x less than them and being forced in to buying up the industry :(
sorry I forgot the /s lol
I do find that excuse for worse running ports tiring and you do see it a lot lol.
It's portable so all negatives are immediately invalidated.
I'll spare my sympathies while MS are busy locking away Elder Scrolls, Starfield, Fallout, Doom, Wolfenstein, Dishonored and trying to do the same many other Activision IPs that have all seen much more success on PS in the last decade like Crash, Spyro, Call of Duty and the list goes on.
This is just whataboutism, yes Sony have moneyhatted 3rd party games, something which MS have also done for years, i'm not a fan of timed exclusives, but as if this compares to spending almost 80 billion on 2 mega publishers and swooping up loads of IPs that have been multiplatform and most of which have seen far more success on Playstation rather than Xbox.
No matter how you guys try to spin it, it's just not even remotely comparable.
I'd take the high framerate mode, with VRR and blistering loads times over a heavily motion blurred 30fps PS4 version which would alos turn it in to a jet engine.
