AstroBot is a free game that comes installed on every PS5 out of the box. You can try dissing it if you want, but it’s free. Much like those first party AAA games you’re expecting through gamepass. You’ve actually highlighted the point that free AAA games aren’t going to have the standards gamers expect from the next generation. But let me guess, it will different with Xbox right? The double standard, all talk from MS and Xbox has been beyond the point of laughable year after year

Concrete Genie was my favorite game of last year, no lie. It was perfect for length, scale, and quality of Pixel Opus’s small team. It’s eye porn in 4k. It offered something different that this gen lacked from first party studios. I can’t wait to see what Pixel Opus produces next, as they have my eye for sure

Well if the developer puts it on XGP “sooner rather than later” wouldn’t that hurt their sales and overall profits. Isn’t XGP on 2 platforms? That’s a huge install base to lose a game sale from. Hello Games is a 3rd party developer, they’d go broke under that strategy

In perspective, it was on PC/PS4 for over a year before it reached the XBO. So to get an additional 1m players 2-3 years after the XBO launch through gamespass, I’d say that’s pretty good numbers considering it’s been available on 3 platforms for multiple years now

I’m pretty sure most PS4/PC users who where interested already tried it prior to Xbox launch, but I love to see it get the player base for those who weren’t interested in purchasing. To be honest, I’ve never played it on my own, aside from visiting my friend once. But if I was interested enough to give it another go, I would use GameStop’s 1 week rental/return policy on used games. Was able to Platinum FC New Dawn that way in 6 days. Used my points to buy the game, and when I returned it they...

Some more than others. I played the 360 version on a 65 inch 4k, and it is a bit pixelated more than other games of last gen. Old but gold. Gears Judgement held up better from a pixelation standpoint on the same display/console, but it is 4yrs newer. It’s fun to revisit last gen games on a 4k tv. As I said some look better than others, but most of them do look better than on a 720p/1080p display. Skate 3 was a great visual bump, and that was on the PS3 version. For most last gen games I find ...

Yes. It’s filled with accurate humor US Americans poke fun of each other for due to vast, differing geographic culture. Political ads for Hurks dad, who is in disarray for losing his political ad truck. A nice nod to current US political mixups while poking fun of Bill Clinton for losing his nuclear code card. Ridiculous town/backwoods festivals that American tourists can find bizarre but are otherwise normal to locals, and mockery of accents that most people from the US struggle to understan...

I adopted this mindset a few years ago too, and it does become easy to wait for a sale. I’ve bought 2 games at full price the past 4 years. FC5 because I had a gift card leftover from the holiday season, and TLoU Part 2 to avoid leaks. Almost preordered FC6 after seeing it $10 off on Amazon, but I have enough to play as it is and could easily scoop up FC6 at $30 by the time I’ve finished a bulk of my backlog

I thought HZD is an RPG, part of why I struggle to continue playing it. I know I’m the minority, but I disliked Mass Effect series for its RPG elements as well, such as dialogue select the two series share. I am definitely not an RPG guy. I wish I was, but I find titles with those elements disconnecting of what I find fun in a game

Been buying games at sale or used for almost 5 yrs now. I’ve only bought 2 games at full price in the recent past. Far Cry 5 day 1 in 2017, and The Last of Us Part 2 three weeks ago. I’ve been done with the $60 price tag + tax. It was already close to $70 at that price. Now with games at $70 and tax, it’s a very tall order to pay nearly $80 for a game. Given that $14 at the movies that last 2 hrs is less of a price/time ratio, but I respect my wallet with understanding that games have freque...

If you didn’t use it much, sure. But many did. I have plenty of great memories on Home. It was fun, but I found it annoying to always update/download new spaces with a 60gb hdd, even though I always experienced something new once I did. I enjoyed the EA sports game space, motorstorm carrier, carnival, etc. Home was actually pretty great. Would have loved to see it carry to PS4, but Phil Harrison’s departure hurt the long term vision

I enjoyed fc5 more than 4, Primal, and New Dawn. FC3 was my first, but playing it again on PS4 I found the game hasn’t aged well compared to the newer installments. Some didn’t like 5, but I found it the most enjoyable and humorous of the series with a ton of environments and side missions to explore. Maybe because I live in the US and was able to pick up on the details europeans wouldn’t understand. I could understand if someone’s super religious they might not like a religious cult as the b...

Your character can pet them, throw balls, toys, and kill them too! Did you just start the game or haven’t played yet?

It was a multiplayer game that the developer aimed to have a classic feel. It wasn’t cod, but it was supposed to be multi platform. A bunch of the console hedge funders wanted their money back after the developer apologized for delays. Game hasn’t come out. For all I know it was cancelled

What was the name of the WW2 game that aimed to have a classic feel like the old MoH games? I remember the developer apologizing for overpromising a console release and has since disappeared into thin air, as far as news goes anyway. But I was looking forward to it.

Also watch Hell Let Loose on YouTube as I’m not a PC gamer, but this game always looked great!

They aren’t exclusive if their on PC, that’s why so many people had a problem when Sony announced their first party titles would launch on PC

I think I’m past the 25hr mark in Part 2, but I’ve been searching every corner for supplies. Just passed the skyscraper hotel. Had to quit for the day before I enter the hospital for supplies. I’m only putting 1-2 hours of playtime per day. The first week I was 3-4 hrs per day. It’s a bit long in my opinion, but has a greater atmosphere than Part 1

ND literally said since the initial reveal that this is Ellie’s revenge story, and that you won’t be playing as Joel as the main character. If you didn’t believe the developers word, it is you that set yourself up for disappointment from the start. If you wanted to play as Joel through the games duration, you should have found something else to play. ND was very clear that he would not be the main character. I can understand maybe you waited 4 yrs to play as Joel, but you’ve had 3 years of un...

I heavily dislike Horizon Zero Dawn. The dialogue select, the cheesy “who is my mother” thing, and the N4G mob attacked me. But I genuinely do not like the game. I don’t understand the appeal at all, and Guerilla Games should use that talent for a genuine Killzone installment. Not the Shadow Fall 30 year after the main story bull crap. GG has really fallen off the radar as my favorite first party studio
