Sony buying SE, Sony buying Capcom, Konami, Sega, Namco, or T2. Microsoft buying Zenimax, and Activision/Blizzard/King. Putting Nintendo in the mix, no console manufacturer should be absorbing publishers. However it is a far better option than other companies from a country restricting the experiences in games we would otherwise enjoy free from that influence.
None of this path ahead I see great for gamers.
Final Fantasy is published by Square Enix and owns the IP, in case you didn’t know.
Square Enix games wont affect Sony games in meta score for 2023…
He said “we don’t intend to remove game access to gamers” after the Zenimax acquisition, and then said “Bethesda games will release on other platforms on a ‘case by case’ basis” (giving cue to Elder Scrolls and Fallout sequels on PS), to later say “Bethesda games will release where Gamepass is available.”
You’re right from the words of Phill, and nothing can be removed from a platform when a game never released for a platform. Everyone knows that. Everyone knows why a game ...
Obviously expected announcement at some point but this is really a bummer. There’s were the multiplatform multiplayer games I played on ps3. Bfbc1 in 2008 was an incredible experience for the first time on the 7th gen consoles!
The last BC you mean? I was still able to find 10v10 on ps3 2 years ago on NA servers during the evenings. I have all the free and paid dlc installed, but there want any matches in the Vietnam dlc.
That’s what The Coalition is for. They are a AAAA studio
I tuned out early into the read too. I’m not informed about the topic, but it didn’t seem like a read to greater inform for me based on the cuss word intro
That doesn’t really make sense since PSNow was available before gamepass existed, and the two services have always had the same games with a few exceptions
I didn’t read the comment, but was it a “it’s not our intention to remove access of games to gamers” to “Bethesda titles will be exclusive to Xbox/pc on a case by case basis” to “Bethesda titles will be accessible wherever gamepass is available”, after the purchase?
Yea but considering a new series S are available for $150, I wouldn’t mind paying $50 a year from now for a used series s. For $51 one could play through the Xbox exclusives in a month and resell the series s for $40
The first Gears released November of 2006 my dude. It had an Epic trailer with the song Madworld. The PS3 and Wii launched the same month. It was an exciting holiday season I’ll never forget.
Maybe you’re confusing Gears with Unreal Tournament?
Darth, Volkswagen is a Volkswagen because it is the People’s Car. Literally means that. It works for the general publics needs. Not more, not less… just as the S/S being a simple gaming machine.
As SurgicalMenace mentioned, others interested in higher end machines shouldn’t have that premium experience restricted by low octane of another car from a completely different manufacturer. It is reasonable to have these concerns into the 3rd year of this generation
It didn’t help, but as the article mentioned many PlayStation fans didn’t want to pay for it. $250 for the handheld, $40 for a memory card, and $40 for your first vita exclusive game launch day.
Even if you had a lot of cross-buy games between PS3/Vita and a lot of digital PSP/PS1 games to start, it was a big expense for a ‘portable PS3’.
Many in the PS3 community waited/requested/begged/petiti oned for Uncharted Golden Abyss and Killzone Mercenary PS3 ports, but still woul...
Agreed. I couldn’t get into Horizon, it seemed corny as hell. Regardless of my initial impressions I gave in and was convinced by coworkers to play it. I wasn’t left impressed.
Though I’ve had the same avatar for 10 years so that might influence my lack of appeal to the Horizon series, though I’m pretty certain I’m not the target audience for action rpgs regardless of the studio.
Edit: I’ve only played HZD and it’s not for me
Aloy, you’re a PS fanboy don’t paint the rest of the PS community in a very good light similarly to how a couple others do for another console. The vast majority of the PlayStation community is twice your age or more
CFW community just waits for a CFW update. ‘Homebrew’, or I think you mean running custom firmware that doesn’t require game authorization to run, has been openly accessible for 10 or more years now. I don’t run CFW myself but I follow forum pages, and most wait for a CFW update to counter OFW update, or their version of CFW isn’t affected by a OFW update. Not really sure how it works but that’s my consensus from reading after a few years of updates
PS3s stable enough to own a horse
Spider-Man (games) and Wolverine aren’t Sony game IPs either, but Marvel is really enjoying bed with Insomniac and it works for Sony/Insomniac too. If it would be better for Marvel to use another developer and publisher they’ll seek that down the road, but it worked too good with Spider-Man to expand to Wolverine.
There’s been a PlayStation big game news drought for a while now. It’s been 5-6 yrs since PixelOpus and Media Molecules last game release, what are they doing? W...
Yea, really unfortunate for those looking to play WWE 2k22 once it’s leaves the service. But of course like these kinds of services you can keep the game downloaded until you have 2k23 if that’s your type of game.
Doesn’t look like the publisher found last years game on the service financially viable to continue for another 3 months with the new iteration coming out
Sackboys Big Adventure is actually a 2nd party game. The IP is owned by PlayStation, but its development was contracted to Sumo Digital, the same group that developed Crackdown 3.
