I would love to see them develop another mainline LBP again. They haven’t since LBP2. Comparative games of that style/budget from PS the past decade have been contracted to other developers

I don’t think PS is looking to fund those type of games through a first party studio anymore, and that’s really upsetting to me

I’m pretty sure Media Molecule is closing too, which hurts. Their encyclopedia page was updated recently. Was just a quick browse so I didn’t look up source material

It bugged me when they closed/sold Evolution Studios as I would have enjoyed a new Motorstorm. Japan Studio closure was an arm twist, but PixelOpus really pisses me. I loved Concrete genie.

Thanks Jim.

One said he only had a PS5 and not a Series X yet, so his absence could be attributed to finally buying the new xbox…

Wow I’m actually upset by this no joke. I loved Concrete Genie. I pre ordered it and it was my personal goty. It was beautiful in 4k and the sixaxis controls made it really unique for a typical first party game. This is sad af

After MLB The Show being on Xbox Gamepass, Death Stranding being on PC Gamepass. It’s safe to think Sony has caved to the success of Gamepass because they cannot compete here. Just wait until Sony is FORCED to put Xbox Gamepass on PlayStation /s.

You list a lot of games that have scored well. These games can be accessed everywhere, and that’s the point. Xbox has a problem with appearing obsolete as a gaming console.
I don’t think Sony will be the one asking for Xbo...

E3 is dead

If you’re a gamer you’d be interested in these showcases.
You’re not supporting Xbox by watching. I haven’t supported Xbox since the 360. But as a gamer I will be watching. Gamers will always “tune in” under E3s absence

It was ported by a 3rd party, and considering its pc release was delayed a month suggests the contractor wasn’t as qualified for the job as PS thought.

Why the port wasn’t handled by their first party studio that ports games to pc is beyond me

So did GTA4 and MGS4 when the ps3 box art font switched from Spider-Man italics to the classic loopy ps style lettering. These copies were the ‘classic/greatest hit’ reprints. And since all ps3 games requires trophies after 2008, some older title reprints had the new box art with trophies listed. GTA4 and MGS4 eventually did receive trophies after launch. Did oblivion eventually get trophies? I don’t remember

Some games with the post Spider-Man box arts had PS Home support...

Don't leave us hanging… what’s the worst part?

1078d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

False, they can get all the games on pc so no need to wait on Xbox. Though it’s not a bad idea to have a switch or PlayStation to accommodate a PC.

Even Orchard has a PS5.

That’s a lot for a new team, but not near FireSprites 700+ employees when Sony purchased them last year

Firesprite (the old Sony London studio), not to be confused with FireWalk

I’m not a fan of Horizon, but that was a lot over your 3-4 point score indifference from metacritic

You can play your ps1 discs on your ps3 if that’s more convenient. That’s what I do to save shelf space

Not defending them, but they did support BFV for more than two years, 3 from my memory. But it was nowhere near the 5 yrs they supported Battlefront 2. There was basically no new content in BFV for 8 months after launch and I think that started and continues the ‘lack of support’ mindset that stuck in the minds of gamers. The game did have a lot of content added after the first year, but it didn’t have the same timely content additions as Battlefront 2 that I had hoped. It turned out to be a ...
