Wth is this crap?
"Invisible Walls and Unrecoverable Falls: Since the release of Prince of Persia last year and Batman: Arkham Asylum this year, it's become less controversial to have a game hero who can get himself pulled out of what would otherwise be a bottomless drop. Ratchet still falls to his doom, which suddenly feels archaic."
Yeah, having a game that punishes you for messing up is SUCH an archaic feeling. Heck if that's archaic, then archaic is muc...
PSP and DS are equal on RPGs, imo. They both get massive RPG support.
Platformers? I think PSP will take that crown with LittleBigPlanet and Jak and Daxter this year.
Fighters? PSP has way more fighting games. Tekken, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, you name it!
The thing that the DS really shines at in is battery life though.
Nice satire, at least it had better be satire... For your sake.
Everywhere I go Pizzagaki is making a fool out of himself and showing his fanboy colors. He's always calling people fanboys, but I think he's one of the biggest on this site.
I mean, that will help clear the air and give it some hype. Now all we have to go by is unofficial word from stores and we have no clue whether or not this will be world wide or just in Europe.
Nothing shall be PS3 exclusive, yet they have Monster Hunter 3 on Wii only. :| Capcom's word doesn't have any value in it now days.
But the PS2 launch was horrible, the PS3 launch had ONE good game. The 360 launch sucked as well. So did the Dreamcast, N64, PS1, etc...
Both of those series started out on the Nes. They're going to be big, but tell me what exactly do either of them do that is so special? FF isn't any different from other RPGs and there are lots of stealth games out there. Not bagging on FF or MGS because they do what they do great, but if you can't see what Uncharted does that's special then surly you can't see what FF or MGS does that's special.
Resistance had and still has a big following.
I'd put Eyepet at #6 though. ;)
"Heavenly Sword and Resistance tried their best (and gave it a good go I might say), but failed to capture the hearts of really anyone other than crap resistant fanboys."
Resistance captured the hearts of many and even more than Heavenly Sword, it's just being on a $600 machine a new franchise doesn't exactly take off main stream like it could have.
Dude get over it... First off all VGChartz does is guess and I don't call being a few thousand off close... Anyone can guess around a few thousand, damn! All you have to do is look at previous months data to come up with a close estimate of next months unless there is a huge shift in demand, which there was. Funny how VGChartz did not come even close on their estimate for PS3 on August, they just said they expected NPD to be higher on the PS3. WELL NO CRAP! All they are doing is saying, "...
If you have folders for your music, instead of boxes they look like folders now. Much nicer, imo. People will complain about not getting huge updates but subtle updates are very nice to me. Another small update is that while charging the battery icon goes from one, two, three and back again instead of just flashing.
It also said something about the internet browser getting an update. I'm checking out the browser and the buttons on google for search are different now. So something...
Damn don't people read the comments? It's two different versions or at least names...
"We're talking about 25, 30, 40 dollars a title. The kids can't afford those titles. Worse isn't the price, it's the buying experience."
But somehow these kids can afford an over priced iPod or iPhone? PSPs and DSs are much cheaper and now PSP is also getting minis. If the kids REALLY can't afford those prices and want cheap games, Apple products will no longer have an advantage in their eyes. PSP + Minis = Cheaper than an iPod will ever be and have better controls.
It's only 50 euros more with a larger HDD and a game?! Who would not spend the money for this over the 120 gig? If the rumors are true, there will be a ton of bundles and a 350 Euro GT5 bundle will just sell like drugs.
Kotaku should know a good article from a bad one and the Famitsu article was just bad for reasons already stated, they should have not even reported on it.
We know the numbers and we know it outsold the competition 3 to 1 so wtf is wrong with this guy? He shouldn't be writing about outdated stuff. We have new info, it's like someone writing an article about how Obama won the election now!
And because he defends a great engine and exclusive game he's a fanboy? The fact is NT's engine is better than UE3 and you are just a tool. Man you always accuse people of being fanboys and you just have no logic.
That it would go for 350 Euros which is a darned good deal! So I'm thinking maybe a $350 bundle? Although that sounds too good to be true so a $399 version is more realistic.
