Saying that Japan is shrinking and they must game appealing games for western countries. I'm absolutely sure this game will appeal to all and even the name, but what the hell is so different now? Japanese games have always appealed to the West, why do you think SquareSoft got so popular?
We're going to be seeing a lot of Japanese companies making watered down "westernized" games and Square Enix is already doing that. :(
They have no information.. NPD doesn't do weekly sells data, the only ones that do that is Japan and maybe some Euro countries. I'm sorry but this is hogwash!
Not saying I don't think the PS3 did well, I'm sure it did but this crap site has no proof.
I'm quite sure both has effects on it, but what Sony did really did help out. I think this article is just written by some hater that doesn't like 3.0's look and is trying to justify that it is not good and has no impact on sells.
I can see your frustration as two just died on you but do you see millions or even 10,000s of people on google or youtube with this problem? No? Well then it's not a big problem in accordance to how many were sold. Is it happening more than it should? Who knows, but the reason that there is an appearance of lots of 60 gigs dying is that the people with working ones don't make youtube videos saying, "My 60 gig is working"...
Don't let your personal problems/emotions fool...
It had no score but the majority of reviews are in the 8s. This game is looking good.
So it's a decent title. I wouldn't be surprised if 1up or Gamespot gave it a good score since it's all opinion.
Basically this game is good. IGN had a hardcore fan review it and he hyped this game up beyond belief. That's what happens.
PSP Go only has 64MB of ram like the 2000/3000s.
The PSP Go is just an option. You pay for size in this world, why do you think laptops cost more than a desktop?
Also the fact that the PSP Go can go online ANYWHERE via 3G by connecting to a cell phone makes it the ultimate portable system.
I don't agree with that. PSP still has a lot of life in it so even if a PSP2 came out a year from now I wouldn't say it is worth ditching the PSP considering its bright present and future.
PSP is doing just fine, it even has 52 million sold so far. The only thing not fine is the piracy which has crippled it since nearly the start.
Fyi, GTPSP is not the first GT title to gain 'average' reviews, nor is it the first to lack a career mode. These two points can be applied directly to the following GT titles (complete with the Metacritic scores).
GT Concept - 74 |GT4 Prologue - 70 |GT5 Prologue - 80
And to complete the picture GT PSP is currently running at a score of 79 on Metacritic.
As you can see neither of these is a first for the GT series and keep in mind that both GT Concept and...
IGN gave it a low score, but it hasn't all been bad reviews so it's really all in your tastes. This is a game you'll have to try out for yourself. If you don't like it just skip it for GT5(which you shouldn't need to worry about since Prologue was nothing like the presentation of this game). GT PSP is getting mixed reviews averaging around 80% according to gamerankings. Well so much for it sucking, it's just that some don't like the handheld tailoring and some do. It's all personal preference...
In reviews on gamerankings. Well so much for it sucking, it's just that some don't like the handheld tailoring and some do. It's all personal preference and I wouldn't be surprised if other big sites(1up/Gamespot) rate it well.
People are put off by the fact that it's designed for a portable and that's why they aren't happy, but it's still the best racing game for a handheld(that's the general conclusion)
Obviously many disagree with you. If you are that hard to please, what games do you like? RPGs? PS3 is getting all of the "exclusive" ones 360 got but with more content.
You are such a hypocrite, if you want him to provide proof you had better come up with your own first.
This review basically says it's a great racing game just lacking a deep career mode. Well I'm sure that's what PD wanted in the first place, a game that was more suited for portable gaming.
I don't agree with this review simply because it's designed for portable gaming and it's still the best portable racing game. NFS(and especially Shift) is always horrible on PSP, Test Drive Unlimited was the only game I can think of that gives this game a close challenge but then again that g...
Clearly you have not been in the beta. The multiplayer aspect of this game has visuals on par with single player. Who are you to judge from a video that isn't that great of quality?
All the people claiming how we should not get excited or think that the PS3 sells are not long term success but when it drops they all rush to claim that it will keep on dropping and there is no demand for PS3. ROFL, love the hypocrisy.
Their Heavenly Sword Engine was better than UE3 really.
