Sony takes the biggest risks and thus deserves to reap the biggest rewards, I think.
If EA sports doesn't have the UFC license, doesn't that mean that their game won't have any of the UFC fighters? They're going to have a touch time convincing gamers to buy their "no-name brand" game.
For fanboys it's not about enjoying the game. It's about being able to say that they have the game as well.
Microsoft's strategy may be to prevent Sony, as best as MS can, from getting a third party exclusive on the PS3 that will compel gamers who do not yet have a PS3 to go out and buy one.
I think someone on here said this when the sales for FF13 were revealed recently. About 1 million copies of the 360 version of FF13 were sold, and the a...
Not necessarily. I heard Activision gave Infinity Ward a huge budget and IW returned 60 million dollars of it after the development of MW2.
If IW had a different vision for MW2, they certainly weren't held back in the financial department. I think they could have used that money to improve various aspects of Modern Warfare 2 over its predecessor. It's easy to blame Activision because the CEO is a major low-life, but I think IW was receiving a lot of preferential ...
Everyone look at DizzleK, sitting on his cloud of judgment, handing out life lessons to the rest of humanity.
Bu-what? A video game character you don't like garnering more attention than another video game character you love? How can it be that your opinion isn't upheld to the high heavens?
I haven't seen you in a long time.
Some multiplats look and perform better on PS3. I advise you should do research before you purchase a game.
By your "types," he's referring to Sony fanboys.
Mass Effect 2 is one of the most critically acclaimed games this year, but that level of acclaim wasn't reflected well in its sales.
I think that Bioware wants to add some appeal to the multiplayer gamers on 360 by adding an online mode.
The developers and publishers are mad because retailers double dip with used game sales. Gamestop, for example, can sell a game new for 65 bucks and make a profit (subtract the cost they paid to the publisher). Then, Gamestop can pay a gamer like 10 bucks for a used game and then sell that game used for maybe 50 bucks and make a 40 dollar profit on it. The publishers are kind of jealous of this.
They probably want the retailer to send them a kickback everytime they make a ...
I would argue that games can also lose value over time. Some multiplayer games lose their popularity over the course of a few months, so a gamer who purchases a game new can enjoy the multiplayer for as long as it is a popular game and then sell it and buy the next popular game.
It also works with single player games. A game that is seen as the pinnacle of graphics technology can lose that title after a few months. Although it's the same exact game, the way people feel...
I've heard you bitching about them for not adding online components to their Ratchet and Clank games. Boo hoo. Their games are excellent, aside from Resistance 2.
"Claiming another's console of choice is somehow inferior, without backing, is the problem. However, making a claim, and backing it, that one console can do something that another cannot is not fanboyism at all. Making a claim and not backing it, is."
No, fanboyism doesn't have to do with ignorance, it has to do with annoyance. If a PS3 fanboy can prove with a lot of evidence that the 360 is inferior, it doesn't mean that he has to troll 360 articles sa...
Maybe you're right, but what you're doing right there is defending the "two wrongs don't make a right" fallacy. And you're implying that the same people attacking fanboyism now are were or still are 360 fanboys.
"fanboyism would stop if people would just realize that their console sucks"
The irony.
Their character animations don't look good. The character models themselves look fine. And yeah, GT car models pwn everythig but if you see the amount of stuff being rendered in real time is incredible. Environmental interaction is also second to none.
Insomniac has a lot of passion. I have watched a couple of their video blogs. But I don't think they are the best.
I think Naughty Dog is better.
Killzone 3 is going to be awesome if they show it at E3.
There's a lot more anticipated games at E3 than just the ones listed in the title, but the ones in the title are I would say in the top 10.
Some people want Crysis 2 to fail because of all the trash that Crytek talked.
I want Crysis 2 to fail but only because I want Crytek to go back to PC exclusivity. If you guys have seen what Crysis looks like on PC you will know that nothing ...
Stop spreading lies.
People disagree with him because he trolls other threads, not because of what he's saying with that particular post.
