Steve Ballmer once emphasized developers in a Microsoft conference. Hopefully, since he has direct control over the gaming division, he will follow through with his convictions and acquire more developers for the xbox.
Fallout 3 had a game map. And a proximity HUD on the right.
Alpha Protocol may suffer the same issues as F3 but does it have any redeeming qualities as F3?
If they do this they better have it on a third disc.
No, I think I'm fully correct. In the long-term if MS supports Natal really well, then it will compel consumers to purchase it. The PS3 sold well because the consumers were already guaranteed that it was going to be supported well. Sony has 20+ first party studios. There was no way that the PS3's library was going to suffer.
Microsoft right now doesn't have very many first party studios, but a lot of third party developers have expressed interest in Natal and ...
Demon's Souls might be a better game. I'm not going to argue about that. But if we're talking about visuals, then Demon's Souls is not very impressive, either. Fable 3 looks significantly better than Demon's Souls in terms of textures, lighting, water, fire effects, etc. The animations for Demon's Souls might be better than those of Fable 3, but I will wait to see videos of Fable 3 before I make my conclusion on there.
You've gone too far Voice_Of_Reason. As great as Killzone 3 will look, in terms of lighting Crysis is still the best. Only in terms of animation and character movement do I think you may have a point.
Okay, but Alan Wake is still a great game.
I didn't disagree with you, but aren't you a fanboy yourself?
I'd agree with you if you weren't anti-PS3.
I second that. Uwe Boll is a master of the craft. He is the next Martin Scorsese. His films are riveting. He is - okay I cannot continue to lie like this.
Maybe Bioware should create a film using the game engine. They can work on creating fluid animations and using higher textures and assets.
The only reason I'm comparing it to the PS2 is because you said it looked like a PS2 game. If you want to compare Fable 3 to a PS3 game then you can compare to Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls. Having played Demon's Souls (and I love it) I can tell that Fable 3 looks more impressive.
And from gameplay that I've seen of VC, I can tell that Fable 3 looks just as good if not better.
Fable 3 also looks better than White Knight Chronicles. ...
If it has good games, then people won't care about the price.
600 bucks for the PS3 was justified if you look at what games are on it. Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, etc.
MS just needs to prove that Natal has good games besides that annoying Ricochet game.
"Uncanny Valley" dude. Look it up.
Your response sounds more like a butthurt challenge than anything.
You should see Unreal Engine 3 on PC.
Secondly, Cliffy was probably referring to the "Uncanny Valley" effect. It's almost a compliment to the game because the effect is characterized by the eerie feeling created by something that looks really realistic but is off just a tad.
The children in the game must have looked great but there was something off about the character models that can make people uncomfortable.
The guy's bringing up games that aren't even out and haven't been announced yet. Team Ico remastered games? UC3?
Why's he padding the list?
Why, so you can say you called it?
I doubt Natal's success would even depend on your opinion because you don't even have a 360.
I don't think so, Janf. If you can show me gameplay of a PS2 game that even comes close to having the same level of visuals as Fable III then I will agree.
He's calling you a fanboy because what you are saying is blatantly false and yet you're defending your statement. Let's see, God of War II, which many say has the best graphics on the PS2, doesn't even come close to Fable III's visuals.
Here some screenshots of God of War 2.
Alan Wake is not a 90+ scoring game, but I also think Red Dead Redemption is an overrated game.
I will pick up Alan Wake for maybe 35 bucks off the net. I think it is worth playing.
*Alan* Wake.
Saying that Natal is Microsoft's last hope is as ignorant as all those "PS3 is doomed" articles.
What makes you think that Natal is their last hope? All the major publishers have come out and said that they are already developing games for Xbox 3 and PS4, so if you think that Microsoft is going to pull out of the industry if Natal is lackluster then you are sorely mistaken.
Furthermore, all the PS3 fans who have been complaining about the "...
