Come on man. Those hopes of yours are pipe dreams, no offense. Square Enix wants big money, so they will announce games that spark big sales.
The gameplay in Crysis is excellent. The story and characters might need working on, but the gameplay is solid.
I disagree about it not taking a hit in visuals. In one map I played the environmental textures were surprisingly low-res.
I don't really like Kevin Butler's ads. I appreciate that they have brought a resurgence of PS3 sales, but I just don't like the commercials.
Sony makes good game trailers. I would much rather Sony's commercials show the trailer for the game, which we know will be epic, and then conclude the trailer with the PS3 and the price and then the "Sony - Make Believe" slogan.
"You saw the demo today, those are actually Killzone 2 characters in there. We actually have already replaced them, just not in the demo we showed you today"
Awesome, that means that the character models in the screens that are floating around the net are not the final product. Not only are they not the final product, but they are not even the alpha of KZ3, they are models for KZ2. In the screens I've seen, everything looks improved except for Sev and Rico'...
I have a sinking feeling that you're Saaking. I was hoping that poor kid had found some medical attention and finally left this site for the outside world to get some fresh air.
It's good stuff, but if the resolution of the game has to be reduced to accommodate the 3D, then I'd rather play it in 2D. That said, it did look really cool, and the song by the Killers was cool, too.
I am happy that the visuals do look markedly improved from the original Crackdown. From the screenshots, the game doesn't look that good, but from this gameplay trailer I like the lighting and the scale of the game, as well as the fact that the texture pop-ins have been reduced.
Valve wouldn't cancel their Portal 2 showing for another Left 4 Dead. It's going to be Half Life Ep 3. Secondly, although I admire Gabe Newell for replying to random emails, I'm certain he's not going to blow the E3 surprise to said random people.
Do you often forget that you have a comment history?
I don't want games on consoles to run at 60 fps. I'd rather the developers double the amount of polygons on screen and make the game run at 30 fps.
How come you're still looking? Do you want to start a PS3 collection?
I smell self-consolation.
Activision will hire new engine designers or start using the next Unreal Engine or Cryengine 3.
Am I the only one who's getting tired of hearing the phrase, "to be honest"?
Anyway, MGS4 was very brilliant.
Facepalm.
Return of the Jedi was no where near as good as Empire Strikes Back. The end of Empire Strikes Back set a dark tone which made it the best Star Wars film. Han Solo got frozen in Carbonite. Luke found out his father was Vader. He got his hand cut off. It was a very powerful revelation. ROTJ didn't have the same feel. Lando Calrissian and Imperial Walkers > Ewoks.
They said their vistas looked better than the vistas in Uncharted 2. And I've played both and BC2's far-off environments do look amazing.
Or Collector's Edition.
I think all games are about gameplay and not graphics, but for console games I think that 30fps is decent enough, and that anything more than that is a luxury that PC rigs can handle. With consoles, if you want to run a game at 60 fps you must halve the number of polygons you want to render on screen at any given time in a second.
And in the case of Skate 3, I think that 30fps is adequate.
Plus, I don't see how I'm not making any sense. You may n...
