In hindsight, many games seem overrated because current games which have the same scores are much improved. Years from now, another great game will receive an A+ and people will compare it against Uncharted 2 and see how much better it is than Uncharted 2. But as of right now, Uncharted 2 is an A+ compared to contemporary games. So people shouldn't forget that.
Yeah, I was quoting a paragraph from the article for the lulz. It was not my personal opinion, as was shown by my 'nose bleeds profusely' response.
I touched a nerve.

Pardon me you buffoons, but if you actually read the article you would know that the large paragraph in my post is an excerpt from said article, and that I am clearly showing disdain for the excerpt and the article overall with my short comment to the excerpt on the bottom of my post. However, you fanboy idiots neglected to observe the quotation marks encompassing the paragraph in my post, and instead chose to comment with your pathetic roflcopter bullshit responses, attacking me for sharing...
"Since you've obviously just begun playing RPGs this Gen, considering you've never played an FF game, then i understand why you'd be put off by that kind of system."
Yes, obviously, since I just stated Knights of the Old Republic from 2003, I must have started playing this gen. Obviously.
Do you think before you post?
This kind of mechanic is a good representation of why Japanese games are dying out in favor of their We...
"Well, it turns out the PS3 wasn't nearly as powerful as Sony made it out to be. It looks fairly similar to the 360 in every capacity. Sure, you could install Linux on the system, but the internet browser is woefully bad as are many of the other computer features on the system. Sony stepped up its game with first party titles in this generation like God of War III, Uncharted 1 and 2 as well as a couple Ratchet and Clanks. But really they didn't have a fantastic game like Halo or ...
I was watching a walkthrough of ff13 today and I noticed how the player just ran away from the enemies in Nautilus and they didn't bother shooting at the player's character. It looked like the only way there would be a battle would be if the player initiated it.
I don't know if this combat mechanic is only in ff13, or if it is in all the final fantasy games. But it's the stupidest mechanic I have ever seen in a game. So, yeah, Square Enix makes pretty stupi...
you sure do say "interesting" a lot.
@hallmark
That's right. niceguywii60 is just an innocent 360 fan. and you... don't even get me started.
"beall game of the year."
What does that mean? There are plenty of great games to play. I was saying that saying "GT5, nuff said" is wrong because Sony has plenty of games in store.
It really sucks how the narrow-minded mentality of gamers allows one game to sell many millions whereas an equally great game goes under the radar. What about Little Big Planet 2? Should we dismiss that game because of "GT5 nuff said?"
Trolls are made when one person only has one bubble.
When you have only one bubble, you can only make one statement. That is why enkeixpress is being obtuse. The only solution is to give him more bubbles or ask N4G to allow the removal of the final bubble, which will automatically result in a 4 day ban until the user regains the one bubble.
One game cannot be the be-all, end-all game, no matter how good it is.
Okay most of the games you listed are not coming out this Fall and the last three haven't been officially announced, so....
@ capt obvious
Yeah, if you turn up the volume you can hear clicking noises. The guy's using the analog stick.
Game plots are usually cliche'd. We forgive them because there's more to the game than characters and story. When we're having fun we associated that fun to everything in the game. If you were to take Uncharted 2's plot and turn it into a film, it would be considered a lame rehash.
It's because Western developers put more emphasis on different aspects of the game, whereas Japanese developers might feel that hair physics is more important.
If you see that you're losing the game, do everyone a favor and remain in the match until the time runs out or the game is over. Where's the challenge in quitting a game if things don't turn out the way you want.
By the way, I have a friend who played a lone wolves match in Halo 3 mp. It was up to 25 and he had 12 kills and the leader at 20. Other people would have quit if they were in my friend's position, but he didn't. He didn't give up and he st...
It does seem to lack a certain charm.
In San Andreas I used to walk around a lot and listen to people's conversations. Random NPCs I bumped into would say funny things, and they all looked very peculiar.
But Rockstar put on its business attire when making GTAIV. It's very serious. There are some silly moments but overall I think what makes GTAIV dull is the lack of humorous chaos.
Edit: Even the commercials and trailers to GTAIV ...
You're in a lot of 360 articles, trolling and whatnot.
I would think by now you'd have learned to spell. I doubt English is your first language so kudos on that. But everything else, I don't really need to hear.
Halo is a fun series for a lot of people. Not everyone has the same fun with it. I can see you probably didn't. But you always find the dumbest reasons to bash it. Graphics not good enough? So what? In 2 years Killzone 2's ...
No, not every game has to be like Kotor. I wasn't complaining about the music or art style or story progression of FF13. I was complaining about a game mechanic which I assumed would be considered universally unpopular due to the fact that it removes any challenge from the game. Imagine if other genres of games were like that. Imagine if you could walk past the Helghast in Killzone or mutants in Fallout 3. What motivation would the player have in initiating combat against an enemy if ...
