I 100% agree.

So in your comment you dismiss millions of PS Vita customers....with respect, truly a gamer you are not!

Sq/enix are expecting you to pay for a texture pack and an improved frame rate. This game should in no way be priced at $60. Try $30 and then remove 1 cent please.

Edit

For those yet to experience TR then possibly worth $49, but still not worth $60...and how about an upgrade program for those who purchased the last gen versions?

Vita can stream PS4/PS3 remotely and with Gaikai incoming, I'm a little concerned there is going to be less emphasis on AAA titles for Vita.

Yes, Indie titles will still appear in abundance on Vita, but I can see less AAA games being made specifically for the device.

This is one of those rare occasions when I want to be wrong ;(

The reason why there are less adult themed games on Nintendo hardware is because third parties don't have to cater to it as there are 2 other options. Should Sony disappear from the gaming landscape (highly unlikely), then that would leave only Xbox, and no sensible business would ignore Nintendo in that scenario...it would simply return to the 90's Sega/Nintendo battle back in the day.

There seems to be a whole lot of doom and gloom regarding consoles lately.

...So much for Happy New Year ;/

Last I read was NG were rehashing the TLOU engine for PS4, and were not building from scratch. If they have back tracked on this, then it's even more worth waiting for. Not that TLOU engine was sub standard or anything...

OMG...How could I forget Dreamcast, that console was incredible at the time. Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur, Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventures & Shenmue 1, 2.

I spent countless hours playing Dreamcast:)

Edit

BTW I updated my prior comment :)

@Dlacy13g

Don't get me wrong, I personally don't see anything wrong with Xbox One in general, and I would certainly not encourage you or anyone to get a refund. However, if some people purchased XB1 for its media functionality, and are unhappy as seems the case on this very page...then it's not too late to get a refund. Same applies to all consoles.

..I'm as happy as you are with your purchase.

Consumer Power :)

It's a toss up between SNES & PS2 as my all time favorite consoles. However, PS3 in spite of it's flaws has giving me the best games of it's generation. The PS4 is yet unproven IMO, but clearly the potential is there.

Edit;

@Ron_Danger

I agree so much so, that I have removed that 61% comment. Thanks for putting me straight :)

Ever since consoles have had full online media functionality, it has given an excuse to developers/manufacturers to release semi-finished UI and half arsed features. It's an ongoing refinement of patch after patch after patch. At least this time, it'll all happen in the background.

MS are not the only one's guilty of this as I feel I like many others have wasted 100's of man hours updating, patching my PS3 since 2007 launch.

I agree, to a degree. I'm sure the disagree's are coming from Xbox One owners...but there's no point being mad at me....and it's not too late for that refund if you want it people ;/

I knew this would happen! ..because MS have gone for the all-in-one media box route, every man and his neighbors dog will have a dig at any/every aspect of the machines capabilities. Sony attempted to market the PS3 as a media box and that didn't work for them at launch as mass consumer confusion ensued.

Don't be surprised if a slew of non-gaming entities start putting their 2 cents in!

Edit-

I am not having a dig BTW, I don't lik...

Micro-transactions/F2P can be a benefit for some. How many times have we all purchased a full priced game and not used half the weapons/cars/costumes and other features? Probably a lot of us.

At least we can pay for the parts of the game that most interest us, and may even end up cheaper to play than that of a full/retail release. Hello Driveclub!

Lastly, it seems some of our gaming friends are already p'sing on this game from high above...give it a chanc...

So-so silly. The reviewer acts as if this is the 1st in the series. Oh, and of course it's a game. Dragons Lair/space Ace /Mad Dog games...now those are true interactive movies.

The Xbox seems to have fallen on downward spiral because of MS's insistence on pushing Kinect into every home whether you like it or not. That 10% overhead on the GPU is going to really start showing as the years go by.

It could have been so different, anyway, XB1 is by no means a failure and the companies own launch games are (IMO) actually better than PS4's. The Xbox One will live or die on its wares.

Time will tell....

Mario games are rarely bad, and I cannot wait to see Mariokart and Metroid next. However, I have to state the Wii U doesn't need to prove it's next gen, as it clearly is. It's just not as powerful as the 'other' next gen systems, which have all become current gen now they're all released.

Creativity and how the games play are the most important factors for me. Visuals are always nice, but come a close 2nd. It's nice to have both, but as we all know...

MS had already committed to the Japanese market when they released both Xbox/Xbox 360. What about the (albeit small) customer base that did buy into the Xbox vision? Should these people simply be forgotten about?

If MS sell through 1.5 - 2 million XB1 consoles (lifetime) in Japan, believe it or not, this is considered a success. MS should continue to support this market.

The Xbox brand is still relatively a newcomer, and it would be a disservice to all gamer&...
