Of course Nintendo will be okay for 2014. Nintendo can afford to write off the Wii U and even afford one more console failure before they hit rock bottom.
Nintendo will bounce back with the next console. Let's hope they kill off the Wii brand next time around.
I like the name Famicom 8, the number eight meaning infinity ;)
Lool Oh Foxtrot, you are adorable. Superfunnycom
Edit
After Bernie (RIP) Mac & Bill Hicks, Chris Rock is probably in my top 3 favourite comedians. Oh, and I see the disagree. Someone, somewhere failed to see your funny side lulz
Iwata can talk for days. He talks too much for a man of very little charisma. Believe me, I've tried hard to watch Nintendo direct videos 'til the end, snooze fest!
As for Reggie, all he does is that cheesey smile. I'm thinking maybe Nintendo should lose Iwata & Reggie for the next console.
They need fresh blood!
@Joey_Leone
Okay, I get you disagree with the service and probably have no intention of using it.
...but why are you insulting people who may want to use it?
@AngelicIceDiamond
Sony recently confirmed they are launching Live TV services, so looks like MS may have been onto something from the very start.
I think both companies understand it's not just about gaming, as other forms of entertainment are directly competing for the consumers time. I mean, it makes perfect sense.... why have all your eggs in just one basket?
It's probably time the fanboys (djplonker) stopped being immature about ...
I agree with you regarding the 'silly fanboy' comments that have nothing to do with the article. You may as well give up trying to educate these people.
Both systems will be subject to numerous updates, upgrades, patches, hardware revisions. Both have the potential to improve.
Oh and Angelic, not all of us PS Fans are childish, only the few that spoil it for the majority. I suppose it's same for Xbox fans.
Hope you enjoy your week...
'Silly' ...'sod'
....I guess it's probably easier to insult me eh?
I'm into PS3/4, but as far as this Xbox news, I give credit where it's due.
Curiously, some people have given disagrees for congratulating Xbox, doing well in it's own territory, and for hoping both PS4/Xbox One do well.
Like REALLY?? Lulz ;p
It's a bit rich you advising people to go play on their consoles, when you yourself are in here and clearing not?
I don't think anyone is defensive or worried, you're creating false emotion. The majority of true gamers do not wish on the demise of any console. Including myself.
It's just flame-bait calling out 'Sony Fans', absolutely no need for ignorance. Believe it or not, non-Xbox owners may have an interest in consoles in general, ...
You know the banter is a big part of gaming, always has been. But, am I the only one getting slightly fed up of the division these so-called 'Console Wars' create?
Everywhere you look there's an article either bashing Xbox, or PS and proclamations the Wii U is dead.
I feel it takes away from gaming in general. To quote a phrase 'Can't we all just get along?' ;)
This has got to be good news right?
Well done Xbox. You'd expect the system to flourish in its own territory. I'm happy both systems are doing well :)
Let's not go criticising other games before yours releases Creative Assembly.
Aliens Isolation does looks good though and I want it to succeed. We've never had the Alien game the franchise deserves.
What's with all the speculation about one guy leaving his Job?
Just get on with playing Video Games dammit! lol
I'm a big fan of Bond, and have 3 games from the franchise. Blood Stone, Quantum Solace & Goldeneye RE.
It's true none of these games live up to the licence (average graphics/by-the-numbers plot), and seem like a wasted opportunity, I did enjoy the game play on hardest settings, without aim assist.
I tend to purchase Bond games when they reach 'bargain bin' status, because I know what to expect. At full price, they don't cut it. I woul...
Compare it to a beautiful looking Cake with pretty decorations...but tastes awful.
Game play wins over graphics, but the majority of people judge things by presentation.
Saying that, a little 'Eye candy' never hurts :)
I can envisage one final set of consoles, then streaming will become so mainstream, it will seem almost ridiculous to make or buy dedicated hardware.
Truth is, there's never really been any money in selling hardware, it's sold at a loss. It's a business model that has been slowly dying. All money gets made on software.
I'm afraid this is the shape of things to come, like it or not.
Nice to see so many future purchases. My bank balance is going to hurt when I buy my PS4 at the end of 2014.
I'm so looking forward to E3 14 and Gamescom 14 :)))
@Gabenbrah
'....redefine how we view games and story telling'.
You mean like David Cage has constantly said?

@WeAreLegion
I agree 100% Both studios are awesome.
Quantum Break looks really exciting. I'm glad MS are creating new IP's for Xbox One owners instead of just rehashing long in the tooth franchises.
The snippet of game play I've seen looks like a cover based system and reminded me a bit like Splinter Cell Conviction.
If the final games fidelity is identical to what the VGX video has shown, then the Xbox One is a very capable piece of hardware.
Can't wait for the reviews :)
This may sound ridiculous, but the only way to 100% ensure PS3 backwards compatibility is to keep your PS3 ;/
