I have a PS4 which I'm very happy with, but as a 2nd console (especially after the price drop/Kinect unbundling), Sunset Overdrive makes me want to buy an Xbox One.
I'll wait for the reviews and decide then ;-)
I'm sure QB will be awesome...but that line about '...even with the TV element' gave me the impression he's not completely convinced by the TV stuff?
The Xbox brand has a loyal following...it will establish itself in the market. Yeah it's a slower start than it's competitor, but Xbox One has legs.
I doubt anyone can seriously argue against, that from a technical point of view, the Xbox One cannot compete with PS4. I guess it all comes down to the content at the end of the day. MS have made promises I am sure they will be forced to keep after all the backtracking.

Cross gen is meh...but that trailer was kick 4$$ though. The animation looks super realistic!!!
All these super awesome games scheduled for 2015. Uncharted 4, The Order 1866, Quantum Break, and a game that could entice me to buy an X1 as my 2nd console next to my PS4 >Sunset Overdrive :-)

ND have already indicated UC4 will be darker than the previous games. I'm guessing that could mean either in the dialogue or the gore level may be more realistic this time.
My only wish is they keep the humour from the previous titles. I really liked Drake & Sully's one liners :)
Great feature, awesome improvement. Makes sense to just transfer all your stuff to an external HDD and leave the X1's HDD for game saves, updates etc :)

Those are valid reasons as to why it's not coming to X1. It's a business, who can blame them?
That's pretty awesome. The cars in Forza looked stunning!
Since X1 Forza engine was created, I have no doubt they have improved it like massively.
I made some comments in another article prior to this one....I guess I have to take some of it back. Can't wait to see what the devs do with Horizon :)
I totally agree with the article, it does hamper progress. X1 version will obviously be superior, but in an up-scaled higher textured kinda way.
I totally get that X1 sales (around 4 million) are the reason behind the cross gen decision with 360 having 81m sold.
MS have all that money, they should have went all out, concentrating the entire budget on X1 hardware to make people believers.
Sony were smart how they got gamers to make.believe ;) ...
In spite of my own opinion, I'm sure Phil Spencer has a lot to prove, so for that reason X1 will have a good showing @E3.
...It's just the fanboys that over hype everything because MS is in a better financial position.
But they are clueless, 'cos Xbox division does not have an open check/cheque book, there are budgets assigned to all MS departments.

So in other words Xbox One's E3 is going to be just like PS4's E3.....people were dismissing Sony's E3 event as lame. Fanboys keep harping on about PS4 being the indie console. So what does 'Smaller Games' mean? LOL
MS just announced the very same strategy. Since MS confirmed Kinect-less bundles, the X1 has become the PS4, albeit with weaker hardware.
..and I couldn't care less for those who disagree :))))

Wow! Looks great....it's a 'Far Cry' (pun intended) from the grainy old visuals of the last game.
Crytek may not be a prolific story teller, but we know the game will look amazing.
Here's hoping it has more substance this time, now that it's being developed by the studio that made my most favourite shooter on PS2 >Timesplitters :)
Good news for X1/360 owners. I always preferred the Horizon spin off over Forza. But, this is why our "allegedly" current gen games look like HD upgrades, because they won't kiss goodbye to the old gen.
It has to happen sooner or later, but I feel both X1 & PS4 games will not see their full potential for at least 2 more years. By that time, current gen is halfway through it's life cycle.
We kinda expect this from Third Parties, but 1st p...
This tech demo is way beyond last gen. I notice 'some' gamers acting privileged with ridiculously high expectations this gen ;/
I think some of the negativity stems from the art style. IMO it looks like it borrows from Tim Burton slightly, and I love his work.
It looks pretty cool...and the shadows/lighting look CGI quality IMO ;)
