Itt: people who don't understand that Nintendo doesn't make every single Wii game ever.
Sony's motion device is coming too late to the game to make any real impact. Sorry, but it's true. It looks like a very interesting piece of tech, and I'm sure they could put it to great use if they thought up some intelligent ways to implement it (instead of that ridiculous RE5 demo where the movement was controlled with half of the regular PS3 controller, and aiming was controlled with the wand). Motion+ essentially does what Sony's wand does anyways. Sony's wand is not gonna have the same ...
"The event is set to take place at four GAME and four Gamestation stores on Saturday October 17th and Sunday October 18th and gamers must compete on four games: Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart DS, Wii Fit and New Super Mario Bros. DS."
...the best CASUAL gamer, maybe. Ughgjfgjfg, I threw up a little. I was hoping it'd be tough old-school classics, like Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels and Super Metroid or some cool stuff like that. Blagh.
Well, perhaps in an effort to eventually put it in the green?
Of course Microsoft is denying these rumors. Why wouldn't they? Just because Microsoft is saying "NUH UH!" doesn't make me believe them.
You cared enough to write that post.
And click on this news article.
Wait.. isn't MW2 gonna sell just because it has "Call of Duty" in the name? Rehash.
Although I don't think that NSMBWii is gonna be what it should be (level editor, online play, and graphics that looked more than just "slightly better" than DS would go a long way, you know).
In lifetime sales:
Wii? Never.
Xbox 360? Quite possibly.
For 2010 only:
Wii? Extremely doubtful.
Xbox 360? Probable.
Sales seem to have dropped off a lot after the first week rush of PS3slims.
Holy crap, 5/10? I know Eurogamer is typically unnecessarily harsh with their reviews, but wow...
edit: Then again, most of the review seems to be lamenting how the game changed from what most gamers thought appeared tasteless and immature.
Good, except for Zelda and Kid Icarus. Kid Icarus probably doesn't exist in any form other than "concept" right now. There's no way Zelda's going to be released in 2010. There's better and more relevant games to put on that list instead of those two "MAYBE!"s. Monster Hunter 3 would be a great example. Many people would argue that Red Steel 2 would be another one (though I wouldn't be one of these people).
Worst Halo yet? That's like saying "The worst poop I've ever had" IMO.
Even if a new Wii wasn't coming in 2011, what kind of moron actually thinks that Natal and the Sonywand are gonna have much of an impact on the Wii's sales? As far as I can tell, Sony's wand is gonna do pretty much exactly what Motion plus does, if not slightly better. Natal's going to be something new, but it's gonna be a $200 add-on that's unlikely to have much serious dev support. Consumers aren't going to shell out money for "ME TOO!" products in the future when they already hav...
I love Marvelous. It's a damn shame their games haven't sold very well on the Wii. They really deserve to -- they're absolutely fantastic.
However, will they sell better on the PS3? I somehow doubt that the PS3 is the platform for niche titles. It seems like no such console exists nowadays, which is pitiful. People should be eating up these wonderful games. Instead they only buy hyped-beyond-belief games, sequels, and terrible casual games. Gah, this gen blows.
@dantheman1515: So you only bought Mario and Zelda and you're saying you're complaining about lack of Wii software? You've nobody to blame but yourself if the only games you buy are Mario and Zelda. What were you expecting, 15 iterations of a 3-D platforming Mario game, and 13 Zelda sequels? Not all of the fantastic Wii games may appeal to everyone, but if you say that there's nothing on the console that appeals to you other than Zelda and Mario, I'm feeling fairly convinced you just don't li...
It's a sad story, Product. True, but sad :(
PS2 wasn't better than the Gamecube, "hardware-wise." The reason the PS1 got so much dev support was because it used discs, which allowed for more space than cartridges (AT THE TIME) and were cheaper to produce, and because Nintendo were jerks towards 3rd parties and had a strict set of guidelines or censorship or whatever.
I still to this day have no idea how or why the original Xbox sold as well as it did.
protip: Wii games don't need to sell 1 million units to be considered a success. If they're considering a sequel already, it's obviously a pretty good sign that the game was a success.
Just because "HURR GAEM SALES =/= 1 MILLION THER4 FAIL" mostly applies to 360 and PS3 retail games, that doesn't mean it applies to Wii games.
oh god you have like the worst taste in video games EVER
I can't wait for Scribblenauts. First game I've pre-ordered since Wind Waker. The Rooster hat is gonna be awesome :D
Lemme guess, it's not worth full-price because it's 2-D?
I'm willing to be you wouldn't say the same thing if it was a 3-D 8 hour game.
This is a terrible list and you should feel terribly bad.
Actually, according to Suda, that quote was taken out of context. He meant to say that the next NMH game is probably gonna be on the next Nintendo console.
