BTW, to all people saying 360 has no upcoming exclusives. It depends what kind of games appeal to you. My PS3 only has Need for Speed Shift n the horizon. I might also pick up KZ3 although i didn't like the 1st one so maybe not. Same way the 1st gears made me not pick up the second when i had a 360.

what are you guys doing to your systems to make it play so bad? i play almost every day for at least an hour, sometimes two when i get into that "just one more game" mode, and never experience massive lag or dropped games or anything. its smooth as hell. I get dropped from maybe 1 in 20 games, about comparable to how itw as with MW2 on my 360 before it died.

i HATE campers. Those punks that sit there in the corner of a room behind a box for the whole game. If they have a silenced weapon and ghost, a good camper would take about 6 deaths to find without a killcam.
We have to wipe out the camper CANCER that infects FPS, so keep the killcam.

Its the way it is these days. Publishers force developers to release games before they are done. GT5 I think is a good example of that.
We live in the age of release today, patch tomorrow gaming.
Well PD did set a precedent by showing developers they can just develop 200 and throw in some stuf from older games.
So EA can always do a couple premium cars and throw in some cars from past need for speed games to get the numbers up. Wonder if anyone will call that cheap?

kinda like how mario kart wii has a much lower score than GT5 and did over 20 million.
With racing games the lower the score the more the sales it seems.
The cars look GREAT.
The track side environments, road textures, trees, curbs on the other hand....not so good. Just compare Laguna Seca on both games, GT5 can't match Forza's environments.
Cars look amazing though.
Interesting to note in that pic that the window is smashed and missing. In this vid, the windows don't even have a crack. And an impact like that will pretty much destroy the glass in the car.
And why when someone says something about GT5 that others don't like they immediately assume Forza in involved.
I'm an rfactor guy. You know, the sim that has 10X more cars, 100X more tracks than GT5, AND is used by half the F1 grid in their official simula...
Sad part is most GT fans have NEVER played Forza, although they claim to. And most forza fans have NEVER played GT5, although they claim to as well.

Just have class based racing. That way anyone can configure a car up to a certain spec ( calculated by the game taking into condieration HP, grip, acc, etc), any car, and bring it to race with competitive players, and the host will have an easy set up cause he just puts in what class he wants the room to be.
wasn't this supposed to outdo halo? This is the biggest PS3 franchise right, so it should outdo Halo. Just about 8.5 million to go.

The side mirrors are still on, the headlights aren't broken AMAZINGLY. Kinda underwhelming.
If an impact like that can't break a headlight or even put ONE crack in the windshield, what can in this game?

Not a matter of playng sales, more a matter of seeing how much this gen has turned to FPS games. You would have been laughed out of the room if you suggested a FPS could outsell a gran turismo game last gen.

For some reason that car does not look that good while playing the game. Seriously, pause the game and look at it. They are obviously higher end models for photo mode.
Can't blame them, those models x 16 on a track would be a slideshow
not that anyone didn't notice, but that car model is...........FREAKING AMAZING!!!!! Game comes in the mail on tuesday. Should be able to grind my way to buying this car in two weeks i hope.
