my 360 died, but i feel your pain. Its BS for a dev to release an "Ultimate Edition" and then release another car pack...and have ultimate edition owners pay for it (correct me if i'm wrong). Bad move T10. Ultimate edition implies everything. What's next? a super duper fantastic edition?
the Wii took a HUGE hit. I don't think nintendo can compete with $200 HD consoles for too long. Then again, the wii brandname is more well known amng the casuals than move or kinect. BUt still, nintendo is in for a tough time.

That video shows nothing but the inability of the telemetry wheel to display correct angles at it can only move 90 degrees. The DISPLAY is wrong, the input is right. The game does not steer for you. Drive into a corner wrong and you WILL go off. don't turn when you should and you WILL miss the apex. And ALL games have graphic input lag in terms of when you move the wheel and how the hweel in the game moves. just look at insidesimracings latest video where they show the latest fanatec whee...
The real test will be simracingtonight. For those who follow sim racing closely, you will know about it. They show all of the hardcore PC sims like rfactor, netKar, iracing, etc. They showed how to calibrate your wheel for GT5 last week but said that they still aren't done with the review, they are taking their time. For serious sim fans this is one that will matter. Not IGN or gamespot or any other mainstream media. Here's the link

Its a tool you use conveniently it seems. Its good and dependable when games you like are scored highly, but then a noob tool when games you like scored poorly.
examples are: Super mario galaxy 2 (Meta critic is great!)
Metroid other m (Metacritic is balls)
Halo 1(Metacritic all the way)
Alan Wake (Metacritic is for losers)
Uncharted 2 (Look at the MC score, its the greatest game ever)
GT5 (MC is a joke)

@verminox. The article is about why did they delay it. You provided a reason and i said no, said why i don't think your reason is correct, then provided a reason of my own. I simply provided the reason that MS will not really be afraid of Uncharted. Good game...but not in gears popularity circle.

The fact is, the 360 is cheaper to produce, hence MS is in a position to bring their price down anytime Sony makes a move. And at $99 price point for the arcade version, Sony will be faced with the same problem.
Not to mention, MS is still growing in the console business, so they will still be willing to take a hit. Remember that their profit is over 3 billion a quarter whereas Sony only reports in the 60 - 70 million range for profit lately.
I think its pretty safe to say Gears 3 will outsell Uncharted anyway, so I doubt that's the reason.
Could just be the game is too buggy to show right now.
It only follows that every product you release should at least match the sales of the previous version. Good example is the iphone. Its been on the market for 4 versions now and each version has been a bigger smash than the other. The drop from PS2 to PS3 is significant. They seemed to have really dropped the ball this gen.
They are struggling to beat a competitor that they totally and utterly destroyed in all three markets last gen. lets not forget, the US bought a ton load...
I think CoD's run is over. With the severely depleted IW making the next game, it will take a hit IMO. Especially if the space rumours are true.
The only people that might buy it are those who say its the same game over and over. When you put it in space with zero gravity and lasers and space tech it will sell to just them. All 5 of them.
baby steps. Before they change it so drastically, how about just putting vehicles into the game and opening up the maps to include large open areas fit for vehicles. Kinda like battlefield, but with a CoD feel.
