Hi Godchild1020,

Thanks for your comment. I actually think just as you do on this topic. I do think it's the price point that's holding the Vita back (even if it's completely worthy of its asking price). I almost dropped a comparison with Vita into this piece, but I wanted to solely focus on Nintendo's Press Release here - there's always another day for more articles to expand on. :)

Cheers!

Hi konnerbllb,

If you're speaking to my article, the information I used is from Nintendo's own Press Release. There's even a link to an unedited version of the Press Release in full to ensure that it's completely clear that I've haven't changed/altered a single thing.

I can understand why you would think this (I see all the "quick hit" articles as well), but this isn't one of them. This is nothing more than a breakdown a...

No, and employee gets paid for showing up for work. This employee's pay scale adjusts according to the work they perform for their employer: under-performing employees don't get quarterly/yearly pay increases and performing employees do. But overachieving employees might even get to move up within their company - netting even better benefits and pay.

It's no different with reviewing videogames (which I do myself and have done so for years for major gaming website...

Wow! Really?! A 0/10 for a completely playable game?!

Great way to ruin your credibility TG!

Yep, Black Ops: Declassified on Vita is indeed a very poor game. The online mode is merely playable/passable and the single player is obviously thrown together in a few months time... tops.

There are much better Vita titles to spend your time/money on: Dokuro, Velocity, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack and MotorStorm RC are only but a few better ways to spend around $10 on Vita.

As for the developer of Declassified, I'm quite excited to see what the...

Outside of the author being too direct in his statements about Wii U's future sales and the fact that there isn't anything new to this article at all - I do agree that Wii U has an 'identity' problem. Many people (read: casual gamers that don't keep up with the industry and don't read N4G) don't fully understand what it is and Nintendo's commercials only confuse the matter even further.

I think the Earthbound talk is all just hype. The same exact things was said when the 3DS first arrived and started struggling, not to mention the Wii VC.

Exactly my thoughts on this.

Completely agree, even though I don't have anything against guns themselves - only some people being allowed to have them that have no right to them.

Do these people realize that there is a Colosseum in Rome, Italy where the Romans went to watch people fight other people and animals to the death - for gruesome, horrific pleasure?! Do they realize that violence in the U.S. is nowhere near what it was centuries ago, even with all the guns readily available to purchase.

Oh, I'm getting there really fast - I just don't have much time. I work a full-time day job and I'm an editor at a gaming website at night, which comes with a minimum of one game a week to review, so it's hard to get to other things.

I'm wrapping up inFAMOUS 2 in the next few days and then it's the next thing on my list. I'll be on it in the next week or two for sure and I can't wait.

Oh, I did give the first episode a look t...

I've got all of this sitting on my PS3 right now, but I'm trying so hard to finish up the games I'm already playing. Ugh... editing/reviewing for the gaming industry makes is so hard to play other games that I want to play. Haha

I would literally run out to buy a Wii U right this instant if a new Earthbound released on it today!

Hi guitarded77,

Thanks for your kind words!

That's exactly what I wanted to do with this article: inform.

Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in all the talk/rumours, but in this situation, I felt that it was time that the rumours were put aside and share some basic information to those who may not understand what all is being said in these heated arguments about Wii U's CPU.

For me, I enjoy the games - I don&...

Hi Computersaysno,

Thanks for your comment!

This article is not intended to hype, only to inform. I just wanted people to see that for Wii U, there's a lot that has to be taken into account for a true maximum clock speed to be achieved.

Is there a possibility that Wii U will receive lesser ports, or a possibility that it might not even see some major "next generation" ports released on it? I'd think that it's possible. ...

@YoungPlex Thanks!

There are indeed numerous ways in the design of the Wii U that allows the CPU to be "boosted". It was obviously intentional and it will play a significant role into the overall speed of the CPU once used correctly.

Until I hear that all of these variables have been used to maximise the CPU's performance when testing its clock speed, then I consider it nothing more than a rumour.

I don't see it mak...

Wow! If you're going to write an article such as this, do a little reading first.

The thing that helps out the Wii U the MOST is its eDRAM, which in simple turns is a booster for the CPU that's directly embedded into it. Dynamic memory is never depleted and always there when in need and we still don't know how much is embedded into the Wii U's CPU - we know it's a "substantial" amount.

Secondly, it has a GPGPU, not a GPU. Well,...

They've actually been in a restructuring mode for awhile now, but it can takes a year or so to really see the effects of it. When your as big as Sony, things like this don't happen overnight. Also, restructuring doesn't usually bode well with investors at first either - deflated stock prices, ratings downgraded, etc. - but if they do turn things around, it'll come back much stronger in the end, with minimal waste going forward.

Bailouts only put a band aide o...

I've been playing PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale a good bit as of late and it's really quite impressive just how many awesome characters they've created in such a short timespan. They've done so much for the gaming industry and it's sad to see their current state - I want all the companies to prosper so we can keep on getting our fill of awesome games!

@darthv72 Sony basically axed themselves in the knee by using the Cell Processor. While its extremely powerful, it's a nightmare to develop games on and as I'm sure you know, it was to the detriment of the console for the first few years of its life cycle. It's taken a longtime, but it's paying off for them in the end though.

Nintendo will have little issue selling Wii U. Their first party titles alone will continue selling consoles, because they constantly a...
