I'm glad that you can't be too old to play this. Haha
Such a heart-warming story and a great thing for Bungie to do.
Thoughts/prayers for the little Spartan during his recovery.
Good to hear.
@Godchild1020 Sorry mate, I meant to "Agree" with your comment, but I accidentally hit the "Disagree" button.
I've wanted to grab both Unfinished Swan and NiGHTS into dreams..., but I've not had the time to play them yet. I actually enjoyed the LBP Karting beta, but not enough to warrant a retail purchase - for $10, I'm game though!
Oh yeah - I'm going to place my pre-order right now!
Update: Done! :)
Maybe. I think the price of admission will be a major factor in it being a new contender once it launches. Right now, Nvidia's Project Shield (which is being considered as a "Steam Box" by many now) is going to start at $999 and on up to $1499 (another $150 for additional space).
That's a high price point, that's most definitely too high for the mainstream audience. It will take some time, but I do think these devices (or others like them) are definitel...
I think the Steam Box is definitely something of the future. A multimedia device that not only can play Steam's vast catalogue of titles, but also be used to utilize basic computing functions (e.g. word processing, databases, etc.) on any screen in a home, without the need to swap devices - only input devices.
I think price is definitely going to be a factor at first, but as time progresses, the hardware will become ever cheaper and I think in another 5-10 years, this co...
I backed Carmageddon: Reincarnation and the fan-service I've gotten from the team ever since has been worth the price of admission alone. :)
Temple Run 2 is indeed a good deal of fun. I didn't really mess with the original too much, but it's a good way to waste a few minutes here and there.
I'm very interested in seeing where Valve goes with the Steam Box(s). The prices have (somehow)get to get to a reasonable level though - why spend $1000 on a "box" when you can build a dang good gaming desktop that can use Big Picture for the same price?
Either way, I see where this is going and I really like it. Having a small PC-based multimedia box that does most everything is most likely going to be an affordable thing in the next decade.
I'm with the ASA on this front as well. The ability to play Wii U without a television is one of the major highlights of the console and it not being fully available for every game does indeed need to be fully understood by consumers.
Bayonneta 2 is really THE hardcore title for the Wii U. Ninja Gaiden 3 was stripped of its backbone by Hayashi and even the "better" port on the Wii U can't replace the stripped gameplay engine that he decided that us 'hardcore Ninja Gaiden fans that have supported the team with our money for years' didn't want any more.
If you've not played the previous 3D Ninja Gaiden titles and enjoy NG3 - go pick up the other games. They are much better than...
Haha... not a problem - thanks for the Bubble! :)
Oh yeah, I know that it was - just throwing that one out there, because it's truly a game to look forward to if you've not gotten a chance to test it. :)
I barely have the time to play offline games these days, so MMOs aren't something that I can even consider jumping into fully. With that said, I do still keep up with them and one that I've put a considerable amount of time beta testing from time to time over the past year is DUST 514 - it's worthy of keeping an eye out for if you've got a PS3.
Good article. The one that I really want to see better implemented is DLC. I enjoy some DLC, but the bits that seem like they should already be a part of the $60 game and are nickel and dimmed out of us for extra cash is always impacts me negatively if/when I purchase it. With that said, I do enjoy when the developer gets extra cash from the game's sales and months later we get a small add-on that expands on the game in a new ways - I'd like to see more of that going forward.
It's much deserved. It always pleases me when I see Notch making huge donations to the Indy Bundles - financially helping out other indie developers around the world.
A great game from a great guy - maybe there is something to be learned from that? Haha
I really hope it's a brand new IP. I'm a big fan of Dead Space (and Visceral Games for that matter), but Dead Space 3 looks like they're reaching a bit too hard. I think they could use a fresh start for awhile and then come back with a killer Dead Space in a few years.
@Athonline Thanks. I don't consider myself to just be another writer and I don't write things solely for the amount of "hits" they will bring in for the website that I write for. Instead, I wrote this as an informative piece that shows that there is always more than what at first meets the eye.
In this case, this release easily pleases 'core' Nintendo fans with its excitement and praise. That's great and I have no qualms with Nintendo - they are...
Hi refocusedman,
Thanks for taking the time to read Matt's article, instead of simply jumping to conclusions like the above comments have done.
Nintendo is indeed struggling with the Wii U by raw sales data, but of course, it is still very early on in the system's life cycle. Not only is Nintendo in the hole R&D wise for the Wii U right now, but they are losing money on each console sold too. Then they are spending money to acquire all these dev...
