As a gamer who primarily plays third party games, I've been well pleased with the Vita titles so far. Its online connectivity is top-notch, and have trophy support on a handheld has kept me playing the 9 games I've picked up incessantly.
We've got Gravity Rush and Resistance: Burning Skies right around the corner, and Sony is obviously holding out on big Vita announcements for E3, where they will slam us with Vita content.
For the time being, if...
Good point, but horrible wording for the piece here at N4G! Just sayin'.
Please tell me you've not missed the two fantastic Syphon Filter games on PSP?!?
Einhänder, Einhänder, Einhänder, Einhänder, Einhänder, Einhänder....!!!!
I'll also take Brave Fencer Mushashi, Tenchu, Mega Man Legends (both), G-Police, Tomba (both) Skullmonkeys, Heart of Darkness and Legend of Legai please and thank you! :)
They're now using visual gimmicks to try and cover up the shoddy, casual handouts their forcing on their longtime fans. NG3 looks absolutely amazing, but played nowhere near it, after the initial appeal wears off (about 4+ hours into the game).
DOA5, much like NG3, is built so anyone can pull off sick moves. The problem is, it only takes one button to do this, and while it looks great, it gets really old, really fast. Shame too, as Team Ninja has been one of my favorite ...
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a killer title on the Wii, but the abysmal lag-fest that's its online multiplayer is like taking a blow below the belt.
Now we're getting a SSB clone from the PlayStation team and it's guaranteed to run great online... well, I'm pretty much stoked!
Ripoff, copy, clone,or whatever else you want to call it. All games today take 'inspiration' from previous titles. If Sony does this and it works out, great fo...
Haha, this is one of my favorite N4G articles in a long time. :)
Yep, and Disgaea 3 just added another 200+ guaranteed hours of fantastic Vita gaming to the already long list.
Right there with you. So many of the games are getting quickly overlooked when they're fantastic: WipEout 2048, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, Dynasty Warriors NEXT, MotorStorm RC,etc. I've played my Vita everyday since its release.
Very well stated sjaakiejj, and I cannot agree with you more. Females rush to show off their bodies on the front of magazines that line every check-out aisle in retail stores, but that's not sexist. But it's somehow sexist for a game developer to use a female lead character that doesn't look like these women who plaster their bodies for testosterone men to admire?
How about we talk about the game's that do portray women in a real lifelike manner: Heavy Rain!
If the writer actually did his research, he would've known that there are far easier game's to Platinum than these. Cabela's Adventure Camp can be acquired in around 2 hours and is EXTREMELY easy. Heavy Fire Afghanistan can be acquired in around 4-5 hours and takes hardly no effort if you've got a Move controller handy.
Cabela's Adventure Camp is the EASIEST game on the PS3 to Platinum by far!
For real man. I dropped my $350 happily on the First Edition Bundle and haven't regretted it a dang bit! I'll be playing Vita more than PS3 this year, I'm already seeing that right now.
I really wish people would start giving Resistance 3 a try. The single player campaign is one of the best on the market!
Killzone 3 fit my appeal a bit more. It's great though how it seems that one or the other is loved by fans of the series, but both seem to be enjoyed by all. :)
Microsoft can't afford to loose another exclusive!
I'm sorry, but this list is completely isn't plausible.
Where's the Ninja Gaiden bosses?
Were's the Souls series?
Where's Bayonetta?
...etc.
The only Bowser fight that even stands a chance of being on this list is the final battle in Luigi's Mansion!
Very sad news!
It's so difficult to break into the top paid ranks as a videogames journalist and for those to finally get there and have to take a layoff is tough indeed.
My best goes out to all of you!
... and you my friend, most likely unknowingly, just gave one of the largest reasons that wasn't featured in this article; Flooded Markets.
The amount of game releases is becoming too much to bear for gamers. Also, Online FPS and MMO's garner-up millions of gamers each year, keeping these gamers addicted throughout the year; many of which, are gamers who used to buy multiple games each year.
I've got no issue with the either of the genres at all, ...
The reason that people rave over the Souls series is because it's terribly difficult, but it's never actually unfair.
When you die in the game, it's your fault that you died. Maybe you should have read a few of those clues on the ground? Maybe you should have taken you time to scout out a bit more before rushing in?
It's this kind of gameplay that makes the game so rewarding, because when you know it's your fault that you just ate six fe...
Don't forget that it also come with a 4gb HD, so that'll need an upgrade wich is another $60, putting the final cost well over $500.
If you're wanting a gaming/streaming system, how is this a better alternative to Sony's PS3, or the $100 streaming boxes? $250 for the PS3 with NO CONTRACTS to raise the price up any higher, seems like a better deal to me.
Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, MLB TV, Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited,Crackle,...
