Like some others, i think it's a good things that the PS4 and XB1 are different beasts.....
MS with kinect offers a point of difference which i think will assist post launch if it gets support. Apps could be big next gen for MS especially with Kinect 2 getting a PC release down the line......
I'm getting both but i've thought about friends coming over and seeing both consoles for the first time.....which would they pick if i showed them the two? o...
It depends on the game for me......and i like it when a game developer states what it's specialty is from the get go....I'm getting back into
BF, COD are games that are basically purchased for the MP / online component as will Titan fall and destiny.....
The last of us, uncharted and bioshock infinite are games i have purchased for SP....
Not many games pull off both IMO.....Halo for me is one that does, especially H2 & 3..... On ...

I'm with you but don't be blinded by Sony.... They haven't been asked the hard questions yet due to MS and their terrible unveiling of XB1....lets also not forget Sony's start to the current gen which was awful.....
I applaud Sony so far but still have some questions about their gaikai rollout and online infrastructure upgrades before i claim they are king....They have already fix the hardware price, controller and made a developer frie...

Whilst what you say is true....it is also very narrow minded.
After last gen, with the dominance of PS2, you would've been laughed at if you said that the 360 sales by the end of this gen would be around the same as the PS3...
Sony then came out a year later with an expensive console, bad controller design (R2 and L2) and also took at least a year on top of that to get some decent games going....

I think MS have learnt their lesson with regards to this, but, i could foresee them bringing back a few options as incentives over the next few years. Digital will continue to become more and more prominent so there will be options once they have a good back catalogue of games....
Perhaps an online "option" with an online trading store for selling games, cheaper than physical price for new realeases, family sharing and game sales similar to what we see on steam for ...

For me as much as i love Bungie, i have to give it to Titan Fall at the moment until i see what competitive multiplayer options Destiny offers.....
They are two of my most anticipated games for next gen and i will play the hell out of both.....
I'm just stoked that Sony fans get their first taste of a bungie game.....

You're in for a bad time next gen then.... The crew, the division, destiny and titan fall are all online only games....and there's 4 months until next gen consoles launch.....
More games will follow as a connected community spends more money post game sale than an un-connected one...
