Both consoles are transitioning to more online models regardless of what they say.....
The Division, Destiny, Titan Fall and The Crew are all online only titles that have been announced prior to the consoles even launching....
The number of games that require connections will only grow next gen....
I usually don't try and fuel the sony fanboys of this site too much but......if this was on PS4 then it would be heralded as the resurrection of Christ.....
Titanfall is the main reason why i want to get an XB1....
I'm getting a ps4 as well but come on guys.....it looked like heaps of fun.....
The DS3 was rubbish IMO......The new DS4 looks amazing in comparison.....

The PS4 will be a great console, especially as you mention, with all their first party exclusives....
but MS will have superior online infrastructure for online gaming....This is a big selling point as so far - The Crew, The Division, Destiny and Titanfall have already confirmed they are always online games....
Gaikai as an example is only rolling out in the US sometime in 2014? and Sony are also now charging if you wish to play online.....
The community will do some amazing things with this game....
MS haven't had a good start to this gen in most areas, but their upgrade in online infrastructure for XB1 should be a huge selling point for any gamer who plays mostly online....like me.
Titanfall and Forza are looking to use the cloud in great ways.....Destiny and The Division are also online required games that could certainly benefit a lot....Be interesting to see how Halo uses this too....

Exactly.... They haven't mentioned it because it's one area where MS have them covered.....dedicated servers is huge for competitive gaming online...
With Gaikai not being available for another year (in the US), it shows Sony is quite a way behind MS in this....They are only just introducing cross game / party chat with PS4? It has come along way though and PS+ is great value....

After a turbulent few weeks here on N4G with all of the next gen stuff floating around, i find it hilarious that anything that could give an edge to the XB1 game is labelled as fake......
I'm getting both next gen systems and i expect MS to have better online infrastructure (which they do) and offer a better online experience.....They will have more dedicated servers that PS4 and you know what....that's fine....While i'm not 100% sure about the cloud, you cant ign...
