I liked GT5, but something about it left me extremely disappointed. The article is quite good as it brings up very valid points about PD and GT5. Yes they have given us slight updates but there is Zero DLC - almost a full year after release. Not even an update to get some of those 800 or so cars into "premium". Like the article said, GT5 was all about quantity, not quality in the end. Which sucks because I've been a huge GT fan since the playstation days.
I'm also a...
Agreed. Personally I think GOW3 looks incredible. The sheer size of the bosses in that game are awesome.
Nothing I hate more than players who go into an OBJECTIVE BASED game type, only to worry about themselves and their precious k/d ratio. "It's ok guys, I'll stay back and guard our spawn point while the objective is all the way across the map..."
Edit: Maybe DICE should have separate k/d ratios for different game types. That way people can play properly?
That video OnLive showed was hardly blurring anything in regards to games and movies. Watch this video for life-like rendering. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
OnLive, come back to us when you reach that quality. BF3 looks better than that face.
Yeah when did Ricci get sexy? :O
I've got mine on order. Can't wait for it. :)
BF1943? The game I played on Xbox live back in 2008 or whatever? Great bonus... Yep that makes the PS3 version the ultimate one. *sigh*
2 discs on 360 isn't bad really. Once you switch to multiplayer that'll be the main disc you play anyway. Games like LA Noire that are single player and are on multiple disc I agree with getting on PS3, which is what I did. Same for Mass Effect 2 - I got that on PS3 too.
PS3 only owners need to grow the fk up!
I know it's pre-alpha so I'm really hoping the lighting and the destruction improves. In the video of him destroying the building walls, it looks like they hardly get destroyed...
Specially compared to this video (around 35secs) http://youtu.be/oyptPdA9iWs
I'm sure it'll be an awesome game though. Those jet videos look pretty good. :)
That's the most graphically intense title screen EVAH!! Lens of truth needs to run an analysis. ;p
They probably had internal "fans" cheering for Elite. That's a rip-off!
I mean I would've been fine if they'd charged like 800MS points or something as a one-off, but this pricing is ridiculous. At least it's optional and not something you need to play online.
Who cares really. If the game is going to be as fun as BF2 was, all's good.
I can see EA implementing something similar. It's EA we're talking about! They milk any sort of DLC or service for games. If the audience is there, they'll introduce it. If BF3 players wanna have similar features, it'll come.
I'm trialing Elite atm and while it's cool, no way is it worth paying for. it's just a bunch of stats. Bungie gave us the exact same thing, but for free.
So how do you explain the inferior looking PS3 version compared to the PC version that'll ship on DVD(s)? :)
double post
@PS3 blind fanboys
Guess what lead platform for BF3 ALSO uses DVD and will be on multiple discs? That's right, PC. You know, the one that looks about 10x better than the PS3 version that uses "high definition blu-ray".
Stop making it seem like 360 is the only platform that still uses DVD. Such blind loyalty...
All I see here is ppl bitching about a game they THINK sucks for whatever reason. "Bad" graphics, same gameplay, etc. FFS get over it.. No one's holding a gun to your head telling you to buy it. No one's telling you that you must enjoy it. If you don't have an interest in it, move along. I'm sure millions of gamers out there like it and will be picking it up. I know I'll be. I'll also be picking up Battlefield 3. "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? You can't bu...
I prefer the feel and weight of the Xbox 360 controller over the DS3 too. For some reason I can never get my head around R1, R2, L2, L1 when playing games. I do prefer the DS3 when it comes to fighting games though.
One major flaw imo that the DS3 has is the thumbsticks. I mean who decided to have outwards nubs? My thumbs slide occasionally off them...
I think if anything is going to overthrow or kill COD, it'll be Activision. Yes COD is popular but so was Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk. Unfortunately yearly renditions of the same game isn't a large window for the developers to come up with ground breaking new things. From the consumer side of things, yearly updates don't motive you to invest as much time in reaching the highest level in ranks as you know there's a new version coming. Think for a second World of Warcraft - it wou...
Both.
I play games, not sides. There's no rule saying you can only pick 1. It's like owning consoles; you have more fun if you have them all.
I'm slightly more excited for BF3 because it's a true sequel to BF2, and not this Bad Company crap spin offs.
That I agree with. Even though I'm a Japanese car driver myself (haha I actually own a skyline that's in the game), there's WAY too many variations of the same car. Like skylines...
No idea why GT5 didn't have a broader range of cars.
