I'm happily enjoying BF3 and will be doing the same with MW3 soon.
I better return my copy of gears 3 because U3 has 3 or whatever more points on metacritics, because you know, at 91, that's a TERRIBLE game...

Why does Sony seem to be take the immature route when it comes to its competitors? BOTH games are great regardless of their similar scores. Only a fool would pass either one up. (or fanboys with just 1 console).

Yeah it's great knowing that you can search by region so you don't get randomly put into a laggy game because you're in Australia and the host is in the US.
Don't forget that the PC version also comes on DVD, not just the 360 version.
I picked up Red Dead Redemption, RDR Undead Nightmare, Mass Effect 2, Killzone 3 & Motorstorm Apocalypse for $98. :D
Mind you here in Australia new release games are $109.95... :( I picked these up in bargain mid-year sales.
Yeah I must say the improvement is quite good. I thought Forza 3 looked nice, but Forza 4 has improved considerably.
Of course you get disagrees. It's N4G. If you say that water is also known as "h2o", you'll get disagrees. :p
But yeah, I played Gears 3 for about 3 hours with no problems.

Anyway, that happened to me last night too. Weird glitch. It disappeared as I got killed and went down.
I played both the 360 and PS3 versions last night and I'm undecided. I found the PS3 version to have better texturing and a smoother look, whereas the 360 version had better contrast and less screen tearing.
Obviously it's a beta so I'm hoping some of the issues, including the ridiculous amount of glitches (tracer fire suspended mid-air) are ironed out.
Gameplay-wise, I'm not a fan of the map they chose. Seems to be all over the place.
And again I know...
I've been playing both the PS3 and 360 betas for the last 2 hours and I'm disappointed. Not because there's glitches and whatnot, but more-so the LAG. The PS3 version seems to run the smoothest out of the 2, while the 360 version just hangs. Don't know if it's cos of my location (Aus) and we're being paired with US or Euro players?
Graphically I think the PS3 version looks more polished. Seems to have better AA and softer shadows. 360 version stuttered...
I'm hoping we get a few car conversions into premium, plus obviously new tracks.
Fingers crossed it's a good update. Maybe more Skylines? ;)
You can tell which ones are for which platform. Every 2nd screen that has a blue-ish tint to them are Xbox 360.
Personally, I prefer the 360 as it looks a bit sharper. The PS3 looks very soft but doesn't have as many jaggies. I'll have access to both the PS3 and 360 betas so I'll be able to distinguish which looks nicer.
Nobody cares buddy. Seriously. This is a comparison (a somewhat crappy one) of the PS3 and 360 versions. That's it! No one's bashing anyone about who's is better, but here you are in a PS3/360 article trying to start sh&t with the PC version. Get over yourself and go play somethiing FFS.

I agree. I've been playing both series throughout the years from BF2/Special Forces, to COD2/MW2/Black Ops and if you understand the way these games are meant to be played, you'll be good at both.
I love BF3's tactical side of things, the vehicles, squads, etc - something COD doesn't have. But then I love COD's fast-paced matches, killstreaks and lightning reflex shooting. Very different games imo, but you can be smart about how you play each one.
