I am not a big fan of either, especially steam and their drm. If you went through what I went through on getting rid of the steam client that screwed up my pc you probably would agree. Sometimes gamestop has good sales, and the stores around me have friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable people for the most part. Though 95% of the time I shop online for my gaming needs, so go figure.
Some americans have good taste though(hint: I am one of them). It is just that the media is bought(monetary or psychologically) and most americans are brainwashed and too prideful or blind to the fact that there are better consoles out there than their "almighty" xbox 360.

If it is on one of those channels(I don't watch the general media garbage) you know that they will try to spin it or twist it in some anti-gaming way. Though it will be pretty hard to do due to the nature of the situation.
