I'm getting one. Even if it flops, I'll be able to install my own software on it so who gives a damn?

U mad bro?

I just wouldn't buy it and play some other racing game rather than whining about it.

I'm looking forward to the next generation (Well, I'm a PC gamer but graphics and gameplay advancements have slowed down since most of today's PC games are ported from consoles)

I look forward to it because it will mean an overall boost in quality for the entire industry, but these rumours are really getting annoying now since it's pretty likely that we won't hear anything about new consoles until at least next E3.

Road Rash!

Well, I guess this one is gonna make it further than those SCP087 games did then lol.

I'll give this version a good old try whenever it comes out.

Haha, I don't remember that. I remember there was a 60GB PS3 up on ebay for over $1 million though and somebody actually bought it.

Yeah, maybe if you're running your games on a Pentium 4 with 512MB RAM... (heh, or a crappy tablet.)

RAM is not the limiting factor in game performance anymore unless you have a really low amount anyway, there won't be a real difference.

That's like saying you got a free PS3 because you paid £250 for the box and a PS3 just happened to be inside it.

Just because it runs Android doesn't mean it will only be running phone games.

Android is an open source OS they can modify it how they like, it won't have the touch GUI etc :P

Likely ports of the tablet games will end up on it though, but it wont simply have just tablet games only.

People seem to be getting the wrong idea about this console... it's designed to be a cheap alternative to the big consoles for those who just want to play simple games.

People seem to be hyping it up as a next gen console competitor, which is not what it was designed to be.

I'll probably get one to use as a media center and just play around with it since it's an open system.

@hisiru

What, you mean the two Gamecube games that supported online play and required an add-on to the console?

For the record, Dreamcast supported online play. Even the Mega Drive/Genesis had a very limited support for it. The little support that the Gamecube provided is hardly worth bringing up in a debate.

Nintendo is even behind Sega, a company that stopped working on consoles in 2003 in the online aspect. This isn't something ...

I hate Windows because it's turned into a crappy tablet OS that turns a desktop PC into a glorified iPad.

I liked it before now. :P

Windows 8 is trash yeah.

What idiot came up with the idea of putting a tablet GUI on desktop PCs... they should have kept it as a separate OS.

If I wanted a glorified iPad, I would just install the x86 version of Android on my PC... which makes about the same amount of sense as Windows 8 on a desktop. (None)

I personally am all for this push to Linux. Anything looks better than Windows 8 imo, they had it right with Windows 7 but then j...

Looks like Sony is going the way of Microsoft.

Probably will be seeing a countless number of crappy motion games for PS3 soon then.

Great time to be a PS3 owner..... -_-

I agree with you on FF8. I've not played much of FF9 so can't say on that.

It would be pretty epic seeing the landing on dollet or even the actual FF8 intro in HD.

FF10 would be pretty good too with the Zanarkand intro, but FF8's landing on dollet would be awesome, I never thought about it until you just mentioned it lol :P

Well it was the actual graphical quality that bugged me.

The forced low resolution and video compression made it look not so good compared to actually running it on my PC.

But yeah, that's not what it's designed for. :P

I would actually find OnLive pretty useful for streaming games to my laptop (well, if I had one...). I only have a desktop computer which I game on, which is why I don't find it very useful.

Ugh you just reminded me of the terrible PS1 port of FF6 that I had with the real bad loading times for menus -_- I had a Genesis during the 16-bit times, I bought a SNES just for the RPG games such as FF6 because the load times on the PS1 version were so bad lol.

But yeah I was pretty impressed with how the intro on FF6 was handled. It would be pretty cool to see that remade, problem is it was originally made with the SNES Mode-7 mode which does not really display much det...

4971d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah, that sounds pretty reasonable. I mean, it would be good as an option for those who want it.

I don't see it becoming the main form of media delivery for awhile though.

I said no such thing that it needs to be marketed before the 27 days.

But to be noticed by the consumers who buy most consumer electronics, it will need a marketing push to be noticed in future.

The end of the Kickstarter should be seen as the start of the product life cycle, when its actual life cycle begins. To be noticed by the masses it will need some marketing push in future.
