Really don't get all the Itagaki fanboyism NG3 is really just the culmination of problems that started with NG2.
Well don't worry guys, Tecmo and Team Ninja are picking up the torch outsourcing Yaiba:Ninja Gaiden Z to a western dev team. Spark Unlimited the people behind Legendary, and Turning point fall of liberty. Oh and it is using the Unreal Engine.
It isn't made up, it is just an obsolete form of vengeance or revenge.
You can block, if you do the parry late it will block the attack. You can also evade, press S+X or Y+B at the same time and Raiden will step back, if you add a directional input like left or right to evade in that direction. I do think it is more difficult to pull off consistently than it should be though.
That was only funny if you are a complete jackass who doesn't understand that this person was just asking for help rather than unfunny and unhelpful jokes that do absolutely nothing to solve the problem he is having.
And to the people saying "Helllloooo it's a beta" what does that have to do with anything? All the person asked was how to get it to work with the game and he got a troll response from one of the staff members instead of possible solutions or ...
The demo could have explained the mechanics so much better. From the standpoint of discoverability the DmC demo was much better than this one. There are a few useful moves that the demo just does not tell you about. The demo also should have had one or two more good sized encounters to make it easier to get a feel for the game.
This game was never intended to be a stealth game even in its' previous incarnation where it had "lightning bolt action" as the super...
Remember all those great reviews Mass Effect 3 got? Remember what real people thought of the ending? That should tell you about the value of review scores.
I'm sorry but objectively Mass Effect 3 was the biggest disappointment of this year. None of these other games had rage spread out into non gaming publications, didn't have fans desperately trying to make the ending be an indoctrination. You didn't have to ban yourself from sites like this lest ye be subjected to massive spoilers for weeks after that game came out. Not even AC3 comes anywhere near the failure that ME 3 was.
Meh I personally think that the source material got old long ago. As for the game itself being overrated, eh I don't know about that, I do wish that players had more ability to affect the outcome of things. Now the TV show is pure trash. But that is because TWD simply doesn't make good television.
Edit: For the record the person who wrote the article should be doing the growing up. He actually is giving credence to the idea that this series of games is indeed ove...
Difficulty was never really a problem. The fact that the game is the equivalent of a series of fiend challenges is. I'm getting close to the end of this game and I don't think I will even start an ultimate ninja playthrough (I started this game on hard.) because going through three or four waves of annoying enemies just isn't fun. I'm working my way through Mentor in NGS2 and even though I am stuck on the last wave of enemies before the boss fight for Ayane I have much more...
Honestly this new design looks rather generic to me. Dante's original design made him stand out more. I personally don't like the structure of DMC's combat system as I feel like it doesn't give as many options as Ninja Gaiden's. It really only supports one type of gameplay and that is rushdown. (Granted NG does definitely favor a more defensive type of play style.) That said I wouldn't have handed the game to Ninja Theory since I have yet to see any evidence that th...
This reviewer is categorically wrong about that lack of a move list. If you press select you can bring up the move list. In fact it stays up during fights which lets you see what move you are doing just like a fighting game. I would have preferred a better training mode.
You know there are actual genuine problems with this game I just wish these reviewers would either read the damn manual or actually play the damn game and talk about them. Hell play the last major iterati...
Should have pushed the game back, added the two weapons that are coming as DLC and make sure that the sword wasn't so overpowered that the other weapons would be rendered strategically pointless.
Disappointment and rose coloured glasses.
@blackburn: You found several NG weapons useful in certain situations. That's great but how many more situations was the Dragon Sword more useful than those weapons? I wish that they would have pushed the game back included the two weapons we know are coming out at least and worked on making the other weapons more relevant.
You mean the eight weapons of which perhaps maybe four were useful and frankly two out of those four weapons were really only useful when you needed to spam UT. Of course NG was never really docked points despite the fact that the weapon balance has been screwed up since the first NG on Xbox! The multitude of weapons are effectively useless when compared to the overwhelming power of the dragon sword especially when you get the final version of it. It always meant that you were effectively w...
People ought to stop reviewing these games based on the previous games. Some of the things mentioned in the article have been problems since the first game.
Stop reading them maybe?
How stupid, different endings get chosen for books and movies all the time. You know why? Because sometimes the creators get it wrong. Mass Effect 3 got this whole thing utterly wrong. The logic behind the Reaper invasion is directly contradicted by the events of the game depending on what you do and even if it was not the case, the logic used in the end is essentially an argument for killing everything that exists rather than do what the Reapers do. The game basically insults the intell...
It is not in any way clever. It is useless the logic given just before the final cut scenes is so broken that it is not funny. It is only made worse by the fact that you cannot even point out this flawed logic, even though it may very well contradict events that have occurred in a player's game.
The game doesn't belong to you per say. Furthermore assuming that difficulty levels made sense in Souls games (They don't but that is a slightly different discussion.) an easy mode has no impact on you at all. The same way an easy mode has no impact on DMC (The real ones, not that bull from NT who broke the game mechanically.) or Ninja Gaiden.
What do you think, that the dev team couldn't simply save the data from balancing the game and work that into a differen...
