Meh, if a game with rather poor implementations of shooting mechanics, with an interface in dire need of a redesign, again, is the future of RPGs, it is a sad state of affairs for the RPG. The only thing that got me through both Mass Effect games was the fairly decent writing, but RPGs with respectable writing are not that incredibly hard to find.
So if they understand Japanese they shouldn't review the game? Yeah that makes sense... (Sarcasm)
I more than meet the recommended requirements and the last thing I bought was a Radeon 5770 for about 170USD. This game shouldn't murder gaming PC's even if they were built on a budget.
Nice move Ubisoft. The retail game is just out right missing two chapters that ends up damaging the plot. Now they want us to pay for chapters that fill in the gaps... Stupid. I would hope that the PC version includes the dlc chapters. I'll be renting the PS3 version, and if the PC version happens to have all the extras included I will get that if I like the game; or grab a game of the year edition for the console if the dlc is included at a later time.
I remember reading a long time ago an interview where Kamiya had said that if he was able to do it over again Dante would have been female. Personally I look at Bayonetta as the game he always wanted to make. Also people who think Bayonetta looks ugly, I am not going to say you all are wrong because I think she looks weird too, but keep in mind that Kamiya wanted to give her a witch's hat so it could have been far worse.
Talk about overhyping a game. Bayonetta will be a good enough game I can tell that from the demo. But there are too many stylistic hold-overs from Devil May Cry to really push this game over the top. People need to stop trying to make this game out to be the second coming. The thing that bothers me the most is that it is hard to actually see Bayonetta because of the camera angle. There is no reason for Bayonetta to be one of the smallest things on the screen relative to everyone else. I...
Tdrules maybe not everyone is playing with people who are close to them geographically?
Tudors: I'm not sure what you are getting at but for most shooters that have dedicated servers players pay ISPs for slots, the manufacturer of the game basically spends nothing on the servers. All they do is release the server application itself.
As far as no dedicated servers for Conviction, since this isn't a fighting game and the player count is maxes out at four (I think....
The biggest problem is that the game isn't going to have a personality that it can claim as its own. Even Bayonetta has that.
Having played both versions of the Bayonetta demo I would still have to give the edge to Ninja Gaiden. I do not like how Bayonetta is one of the smallest things on the screen, you don't really get to see her in action since everything is much larger than her she easily gets drowned out if you will. I wish Kamiya had decided to go with a camera angle more like Ninja Gaiden's so that players could really get a good look at Bayonetta during the action.
I also think it is really ...
Why even bother getting the console it will just die on you, like mine did not a half an hour ago.
I don't see how the game gets perfect scores when the choice of camera angle makes it almost impossible to actually see what Bayonetta is doing on the screen. I also do not get why they made the regular enemies bigger than Bayonetta which lets you see the details in them (There are not that many as it is.) far better than the title character! This is one reason why I always liked the modern Xbox(360)/PS3 Ninja Gaiden games more than DMC. They let you see the player character much be...
The odd thing is that the review is not concerned with whether the audio is compressed or not, it is concerned with how the audio makes the player feel. Does it matter if you can theoretically hear more detail in the sound when the sound itself pisses you off? While you whine about the lack of objectivity in these reviews your entire line of argument lacks objectivity! Do you think this game would have deserved the same rating for graphics if it animated as badly as Wet does? The fact of...
you can download chapter playthroughs too
Already happened to me. I was surprised since the same thing happened on the 360 version.
If you hold R1 for a fraction of a second too long it tends to go into the "hint" holding down on block tends to lessen this effect quite a bit. It's an annoying problem that they introduced into the game because they combined the wrong things onto one button. Who cares if the audio is compressed when the voice acting is so horrible? Sure Ryu is passable but I can't decide if Rachel is actually worse than she was in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. In that very small respect I can understand...
I understand where you are coming from, but I have to agree with the review score. The team maps are fun but eh. Heck then there are the retarded loading times, it is not even that the loading times are long it is that there are so damned many of them! The game has not really been streamlined to get rid of some of the loading screens. The addition of the new characters is awesome (Momiji is my favorite.) but they are all disjointed save for Ayane's mission. What makes that so sad is that...
Maybe it is because I just woke up, but I was unimpressed. The trailer makes her seem like a try-hard rather than a real badass.
If you hold the controller sideways it is not bad at all. Though I get the feeling that developers will not realize that and try to get you to hold one side of the controller instead. Having something to control movement on the wand would be great though. If it was done right I could actually use the wand to play a game like Killzone 2; a game I refuse to bother with right now because complete idiots designed the southpaw controls.
Good review I have played the original NG2 and what this person said about starting on easy if you are new to NG games is true. Listen to this person if you have not played this series before or you are not very good at these kinds of games. It is a great deal of fun.
They need to get rid of Wada and make games that do not suck.
