that's cool and all but please for the love of all that is holy and most things that aren't, I beg you David Cage please hire a real writer. I love the Quantic dream approach to exploring what an interactive experience can be, I love the commitment to beautiful visuals and audio. I love so much about them but sorry Mr. cage you just cannot write. It's probably a hard thing to admit, especially since you obviously got into the medium to tell stories but hey, not everyone can do eve...
Little known fact,'Time to penis' is actually my most used chat up line/battle cry.
Good choice, I remember the very first time I got my hands on GTA3. The concept of the game was exactly the kind of thing I'd dreamt of while playing the original GTA.'wow, imagine a game like this but a totally 3d world' and it always seemed like some crazy pipedream that would be cool but would never actually be technologically possible.
I remember the first time my brother handed me the controller and I got to play. My brain wasn't used to that kind of 3d game...
Grim Fandango.(Just to live that beautiful story again for the first time)
Fallout 3 (though I'd settle for having just one thing in the wasteland still undiscovered that wasn't the most basic of Easter eggs)
Journey. (The night I played through this entire thing for the first time was possibly as close as gaming has brought me to a life changing experience)
I bought Driveclub and enjoyed it so it doesn't affect me anymore but this really is disgusting. I remember wondering if I should jump in right away with the PS4 since I wouldn't be able to afford too many games with it. The suggestion that my PSplus subscription would carry over and would give me a beautiful next gen racer right away was a major factor in me deciding to go buy the console at release. I really do feel lied to.
True, Sony have had a ton of really big hyped games that have turned out to be majorly disappointing. Still, not to turn this into a fanboy thing but what has anybody else had? As far as I can see Microsoft have had literally one or two exclusives that in any other era would be total filler games. Sony is still probably the best option for a gamer at the moment and that's a sad thing.
If I had to guess I'd have to agree this one is gonna get panned by critics, maybe not as bad as The Order but still pretty bad. It's probably gonna deserve it too. Like most everything I see upcoming for PS4 it stirs no emotion in me other than sadness and slight worry. Also, if anyone thinks that's subtle anti-Sony trolling (and doesn't want to check my history to see that I only own Sony consoles)what other options are there? Sony's slew of uninteresting looking titles ...
What is going on with games this generation? It feels like more than just fear of taking risks due to high budgets, it's starting to feel like everyone simply forgot how to make games. The types of mistakes they're making are the type of thing you'd think any person who even came close to being a gamer would know how to avoid. Of course there have been exceptions but for the most part this generation has been so disappointing in such a weirdly big way I'm barely even a gamer a...
I think anybody who wasn't blinded by hype or hate was expecting the average scores this game is getting. It's not a terrible 2 hour long mess nor is it an amazing and daring modern masterpiece. It's what it's looked like from day one, a game with brilliant visuals and atmosphere, a good story but merely functional generic gameplay to tie it all together. I usually play games for the atmosphere and story so I'll absolutely be buying it but I am a little bored of hiding beh...
An early Sunset Overdrive: Prototype.
I've strongly critiqued The Order 1886 for months now and been disagreed to hell (probably called fanboy a bunch of times too), I'm still far from sold on the game and even I have to admit the hate the game is getting now goes far beyond regular criticism.
There are two sides to this type of thing and both are as idiotic as each other. On one side you've got the people who have an almost cult like faith that a game will be good and attack anyone who raises the sli...
Knights of the magical light?
This is great news. It seemed silly having a giant castle and nowhere to stash your gear. I'm something of a virtual hoarder so my inventory always fills up fast in games, in the first Dragon age I lost my ability to stash gear to a glitch which was annoying as hell.
You're assuming it was ever not flaccid. Maybe the woman was doing her best but for some reason it was just still not happening. That's a common problem that happens to all men, I've been told that multiple times so it must be true.
I'm sick of this exploitation of men in the videogame industry. We are not just pieces of meat to be ogled, ladies.
Pfffft yeah, this is alright I guess, if you're a wuss. Personally I have just cut off my own left hand and asked my friend to come over and continuously spray mace in my eyes and taser me while I play, but whatever, if you little girls aren't up for a challenge like I am this sounds like an okay plan.
It's not about feeling entitled, it's about knowing the creators intentionally decided not to make the best, most content rich game they could, for the sake of squeezing more money out of people already paying a hefty price for their product. There was a time when you could buy a game with the understanding that it was the absolute best product the creators felt they could create with the time and resources they had. Now we're expected to buy a game understanding that it has been ...
My buying this was doubtful anyway as I'm usually a single player gamer only but the DLC model really tipped it from something I may try out if I get bored and drunk enough to something I will definitely not buy.
I do understand people saying you're voting with your wallet by buying the game and just not buying the DLC and to be honest that's probably what I'd do if the game itself was really my type of thing but as somebody who was unsure about the game to begin...
I honestly think this game is getting some criticism that's just based entirely on the lingering bad taste left by Dead Island. Even people who are playing it and seeing how nicely put together it is are seeing it through Dead Island tinted glasses and declaring it another rushed, buggy Techland game despite it actually being quite carefully crafted and well made, at least compared to a lot of other recent full retail games.
WARNING - MAJOR FF7 spoilers in the article!
Jesus, this autobiography is just wrapped in spoiler. Literally the first line is a major spoiler. That's such a dick move, I'm sorry. I don't care how old the game is or how much common knowledge you think the plot is, many people still haven't played it and it's being rereleased soon, you're definitely spoiling the game for somebody. I myself didn't play through any of the Final fantasy games until abo...
