Something really is going on at IGN. Watch their Dying light review in progress videos. I think they wound up giving it a fairly decent score but if you watch the videos of the actual reviewer playing it he's AWFUL. Constantly intentionally jumping as high as he can from a high roof onto the ground below then complaining in a disinterested sounding voice that the controls are clunky or mashing the attack button long after his stamina runs out then moaning about how the combat sucks, all t...
Wait......how did you know I texted that while driving? Are you.......are you the hacker known as 4 chan?!!??
Convincing a SWAT unit that there is an urgent incident going on in a house that requires swift, possibly fatal response is beyond dangerous. You know swat teams don't just burst in and pose looking menacing, it's a crazy intense scenario and one wrong move from a panicking kid could get innocent people killed, not to mention ruin the lives of the officers on the team.
Looking at his picture I'm just hoping he doesn't use his computer trickery to switch IDs with Jack Black and have him sent to prison instead. Think about it, we'd never know.
Also, " : "? What the hell is all that about?
So, what's he want? A cookie?
I completely agree and it's a shame to see games that could've been brilliant with some decent writing settle for the same old cheeseball plots and characters.
Still I also have to agree with Frostyzipper. The writing in this one is nowhere near as embarrassingly abysmal as that of Dead Island. While Dead Island was the type of writing that makes you embarrassed to tell people you're a gamer the writing in this one is just kinda alright. In fact it works well eno...
I bought Vice city stories for the Vita and it was great to get back to the best GTA setting ever and hear the second best soundtrack ever in a GTA game (just below the main Vice city game) but to be honest I found the missions in that one frustratingly fiddly and harsh pretty much from the start.
Like there's always that one mission in a GTA game that makes you want to bite your own eyes out, it seemed like they used those missions as the template for the entire game. I fo...
I honestly read 'water' as 'waiter'. Thought they might be taking the 1800's theme a little too far.
So... Anyone know of any sites that are like n4g used to be before the articles became indistinguishable from the cheap clickwhoring ads?
I really hope, making a comment like that, you've created a bunch of cool environments in Unreal 4 yourself.
"Vita Games are it's problem.
* It has JRPG's, but the KIND it has, basically all they are is a bunch of 14 year old girls in hardly any clothing with huge animated boobs. "
...So...... what's the problem? ....oh, I get it, 'animated'. Yeah that's annoying but they tried Full Motion Videogames back in the days of the Sega CD, they just don't work well.
This looks absolutely stunning. This, VR and that 3D environment scanner tech that keeps popping up in stories here before disappearing for years at a time could make for some amazing things.
Fanboys? What? What happened?
Edit - Never mind. Checked your comment history. You honestly might be the most insecure sounding human being I've ever encountered.
Listening to the opinions of others while retaining some skepticism about their motives and using all of the available information to help you make up your own mind =/= Being told what to do.
but that's just the problem. Gears of war was released at the beginning of the previous generation, you'd expect things to have moved on. We'd be bitching about GTA5 if it just played like a prettier version of GTA3. You'd be bitching about this game if it was labelled as a Gears of war prequel, the same way everyone bitched about the past two Gears of war games for bringing nothing substantially new to a tired old formula.
Believe me I truly want this game to be...
It's a damn good game but it really is either too long or at the very least the pacing screws itself in the last few hours. I think I'm almost finally finished now (though I've thought that multiple times already) and I know it sounds dumb to complain about getting too much content but it's a symptom of games overtaking movies as the dominant form of entertainment that they really need to be crafted with the concerns in mind that a movie usually is.
We all know h...
@PoSTedUP
No biggie, we all make mistakes but I must strongly insist that you go play the HD collection again until you can recite every line of dialogue from MGS3. Go now, do not speak to friends or family members, do not stop to eat or drink, just do it.
Phrasing! Jesus that is a rough way to be misinterpreted.
Still, Hellsvacancy, even if you had ten minutes you haven't already played you're in for a good time and I'm jealous.
There's no denying that trailer is a sheer work of art but I can't help but think the game itself might be a case of disguising a cheaply put together dated piece of work as 'retro'. I mean without playing up the ironic 90's angle everything about a game that looked and played like a FPS from 1996 would be considered a bad thing.
