Lol, playing the sales game are we? Considering that comment, I don't think we have much more to tell each other, as I now know exactly what kind of a person I am talking to.
Below the belt but funny. Bubbles! :p
Not saying Ps3 doesn't have casual games. Saying that most of the casual shovelware will be going to 360. Additionally, 360 relies on third party support a lot, and considering that they will be focussing on Kinect more than on core games, the majority of the 360 lineup will consist of them
@palaeomerus:
1: Ps3 has had a lot of quality exclusives, most of which lived up to the "excessive ps3 fanboy hype"
2: I will be playing most of the titles yo...
Consider this:
Developing a game costs money, yearly. The shorter development time is, the less it will cost. Now considering what you're saying, we get a COD game each years, giving each developer 3 years to develop 1 game, opposed to the current 2 years of development per developer. This would mean, financially:
If 1 developer costs 10 million / year
then the current model costs them:
20 million per game, per year
The on...
Kinect outselling Move? Check
Xbox turning into Casual Console? Check
Move turning into EyeToy? Check
Third Parties to support Kinect? Check
Conclusion:
For any non-casual games, play PC or PS3. Killzone 3 next month, Motorstorm the month after.. lol, feel like such a fanboy now. I'm just happy that Xbox gets the casual stuff, and Playstation won't. :)
3 Developers, Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer. Every year with just 2, so in the same amount of time they will now manage to finish 3 games. You do the count ;)
So now we go from a COD game every year to a COD game every 8 months.
.. Look at the images I posted, it's impossible to distinguish between God of War 2 and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. God of War 2 is seen as the pinnacle of PS2 graphics, and the PSP does a perfect job on imitating that.
If you sold your PSP I bet that was a long time ago. The games releasing now are at PS2 quality. Remember that PS2 games didn't always look good either.
Played the PC version. The textures seen in that trailer are definitely better. Comparisons also showed this for that matter.
And why would they release a Ps3 trailer with only 360 footage?
As posted above, Don't make claims that you can't validate. PSP actually does a really good job at performing like the PS2
Are you sure about that?
Well, it's competing against 3ds and Iphone, so it has to be. Other than that, don't you guys think January is a bit of an odd timing? I would've expected the PSP2 to be announced at a big conference, e.g. E3. But since they're announcing it now, it seems to imply that there's something bigger geared up for E3...
Oh damn Sony's onto us, they sue us for owning hacking tools for Ps3.. Guys, we have to come up with a plan to win this lawsuit! Wait I know! QUICK RELEASE ALL TOOLS WE HAVE ONTO THE INTERNETS! That should win us the lawsuit!
... Are they seriously that stupid? If a lawsuit tells you to stop any activity, even gives you a restraining order for it, how stupid are you to go straight against that and increase activity? They're only digging themselves into a deeper hole....
One thing that definitely looks better are the textures. The lighting is up for arguments though. Looking at the trailer though the game appears to look better on Ps3 than it did on Xbox 360 and PC. Though I have to admit the PC port was pretty stupid, a lot of the textures were actually worse than the PC version of Mass Effect 1. They simply used the exact same assets, instead of using higher quality textures and lighting for the PC, something it should easily be able to do.
Though that sounds about right when considering the choices that are imported into Mass Effect 2 when importing your Mass Effect 1 savegame. I believe there's 6 or 7 of them.
I would buy this if I hadn't played the first one on PC. I would've liked to play Mass Effect 3 on Ps3, but having completed both the first and the second one on PC, I would only go for the Ps3 version of either Mass Effect 2 or 3 if I could import my PC savegames onto it.
Though the guy is not a new gamer. He's been developing games since the early 90s, there is no way he hasn't heard of Duke Nukem. He's playing dumb.
And on 360 it doesn't look as good as PC, so the 360 argument is flawed. The 360 version looks more washed out, with toned down shaders and lighting effects. This was already mentioned by InFAMOUS, the 360 version was gimped.
Whilst Metro 2033 has great graphics, it's not a technical achievement due to the hardware it uses to produce those graphics. When it really comes down to it, all that Metro does technically is throw a lot of crap at the Graphics Card, and just force the player to buy one that can handle it, rather than making a technological master piece that runs on Pentium 2 hardware.
Wow.. Someone was on a row with reporting comments - I can barely find anything that isn't reported as spam or trolling in this section :|
