Realistic or not, I do miss spotting. Nothing worse than watching team mates gunned down by someone you've seen but cant get a decent first shot on. Guilt trip! 😆

Anyone else think it would be good if the PS classic would've allowed you to download 30 games locally from a back catalogue at any one time and therefore, every PS classic was exactly what each person wanted it to be? The ROMs aren't that big in this day and age and every game would threafter be instantly playable as a PS1 game should be...

Couldn't care less as long as I enjoy the game experience.
8k 100fps doesn't make a game good...but it can make it better providing all the other factors are in place...

@NewMonday
Never a truer word. The new devs are definitely a step in the right direction. And Sony has proven that strength of hardware alone is not the sole factor.

I hope they're working on some new and original IPs to compete with Sony's. Hopefully a few for my XB1X - and some for the XB2/X!

And when the PS5 Pro releases? The X was a year behind the Pro (hence why it's now the most powerful console again). It's not that hard to know he can't keep that commitment either...

2707d ago 13 agree8 disagreeView comment

There is no way that he can keep that commitment though...because it all depends on who releases first and what the delay in the competition is...

Someone travelling everyday or sitting on an aeroplane can get a huge amount of enjoyment out of a handheld and/or phone. The vast majority want to kick back and play better quality games on big screen at home - or do both.

So no. No way it's the future.
But it does supplement. And there's room for both experiences.

Amazon UK just screwing up listing then? Go elsewhere. Cheers Dkcolley...

Why has the Xbox version been pushed back? Anyone know? PS4 has released - but Amazon now lists Xbox as 31 December 2019..?

@Jinger
So "realism" achieved by TV and blu ray on even a 1080P TV has been achieved by games to date? There's still a long way to go ...even for HD, let alone UHD. There's plenty of shine that can be achieved by stronger hardware that can still raise the bar and be visible..flourishes as I call them. When hair and trees started moving in games we were amazed. Start considering true physics to an even greater degree and even HD could show us more...

Resolution isn't as important as AI, graphical flourishes, greater interaction and better slicker gameplay. IMO. And that will always come with a faster device. And the elite will be saying why don't the latest consoles reach 8k...not a concern to me.

Tis true but obviously some will argue how the buffer is filled. Fact is, there's been some cracking games on both consoles that are checkerboard...

They aren't livid. Sweeping generalisation. I think DF established that R* have done a bldy good job of pushing all platforms and created an immense game.
It IS 4k with checkerboard (which both Sony and MS have used to great effect In the past). Textures render a little muddy close up but it's still a 4k buffer - and may even be patched.
But either way the headline is clickbait console war stuff. Give it a break and enjoy gaming...

PS Now is a PS virtual platform and you're playing PS games on a server in the PS world regardless of the way you access it. There is no virtual platforms for XB/PC and the games you get VR accolades on are the PC versions of X games. And they are different. In the same way that there is no RDR2 on PC at the moment...and you can't stick an X copy of the game in a PC and it will work either. Therefore MS game platform isn't universal and you need two sets of hardware ...

So clutching at straws...they are games available on Xbox that you can't get a 'VR achievement for without also having a gaming PC and PC VR. So much hard work to say that without two bits of Microsoft compatible hardware, you can't play VR. Yet.
I'm sure MS will build upon this experience but as a console (ok...if it makes you feel better...'in the MS platform'), there are still less options to game than PS.
And this from someone who loves Forza but ...

But they aren't Xbox games. So to have an Xbox achievement, you have to have a gaming PC too.

I like my Xbox and I think it's a great piece of kit. But PS5 will be my first option because of where Sony leave themselves at the end of this generation. All the Sony games above that were delayed or so called 'unfinished' were still just a few of many other exclusives that have released. Love FH4 but its not gonna win next gen without a slew of ...

It's better without SP for some people.
And its not for others.
I accept that...

Bad decision IMO but so many games heading for release and so many in backlog anyway...

Likewise Oldbiy. I think it will do well and wish Bend all the best. Looks interesting and I'll probably give it a go.
Funny that some people have to keep diving into game comments for something which they (apparently) have no interest in and say negative things. I couldn't care less about most RPGs but don't feel the need to comment negatively about them all. Life's to short. And loads of people do enjoy them so I leave them to discuss the merits and defects. Each to...

Appreciate the thinking behind it and I could understand if MS said one year game pass is $120. But allowing people to do a month at a time...as the article says...saves money and allows people to game on the cheap. But for how long. I don't see it as sustainable.
Also appreciate that, like most services, people won't want to fork out $120 unless they know what the get for it. And game release dates aren't defined well enough for people to say that the year will provide t...

Personal opinion...short sighted vision. Exactly why this philosophy can't support full blown development cycles of the size of the "competition". The money has to come from somewhere and encouraging people to play these games for a $10 month isn't the way forward.
Try it and buy it. Or buy it. Games aren't getting any cheaper and if we don't support the devs, we'll end up with far less choice - EA, Ubi, TT, Sony and MS (maybe).
