I like the idea of some remasters. But somehow, AC doesn't appeal whatsoever. Probably because there's been a bunch of entries that were rushed out and felt like cash-ins anyway. Kind of reject further milking of a somewhat mixed series. Some really good entries but no higher res replay for me..!
Carry on thinking that way. Your prerogative.
A vast amount of other people wiill see completely differently...me included.
We are consumers. I'd developed my own console if I wasn't buying a product to save me doing it..?
And if it offers functionality that I'll use, I'll support it. If they announced they were creating an inbuilt toaster or coffee grinder , I'd object. But it's all game related...
Honestly not read the article...
But apart from testing patience - there are no negatives. Undoubtably be a better game for more development time. Not guaranteed but 95% likely!

An assumption that the same people tuning emulation are the ones who would work on new developments?
Game & Watch...
I think you overthink!
I doubt if anything will change between preview and release date (maybe patch updates to some bugs). And people will love it. And some people won't love it. Thas games for you. Seems promising that the review embargo is off quite early. It will be polished (been delayed enough). Just won't be everyone's cup of tea...
🤣
The only comeback, if you want to call it that, will be new studios announcing content . But I suspect that a lot will be for next gen. This gen is lost. If it makes the right noises now and shows a little commitment, it could lay the grounds for a next gen comeback. IF...

@Shaggy
As above...not BC. Limited emulation of certain games. I can't put all my X360 games in an XOne and they'll work. It's cool that some do and I'd rather have than have not. And true BC would be better in than out (so to speak) but it's not the be all and end all if there's decent software support for the hardware anyway...first and third party...
Has everything to do with BC. PS game owners from 1/2/3 won't get to play on new console because Now is still being used to sell 'rented' streamed games that are already owned...
PS4 only though, eh?
In the US only? Am I reading that right?
Investing in more Now locations? Bit worrying for the limitations of any backward compatibility next gen..?
Fanboys in ALL camps.
My box is better than your box.
My box puts more dots on a screen than your box.
My box refreshes dots on a screen better than your box.
Should play the games on whichever box you have or can afford.
How many cars and track variations since release?
And...quality over quantity...I wasn't whining at release that there wasn't 2500 cars included. So I'm happy...
Oooh...not got as many cars as Forza?
Who cares. Great support and a great drive. Really enjoying it.
Long for a proper GT7 though.
Given all the cars are rendered to 8K, no reason not to expect them in at least the next GT edition.
Hardly a sleeper though. Been promoted for years and a well known established studio. It may be a new IP but it won't be a surprise if this does very well...
