Really? Microsoft have had "one false move" from losing gamers several times. Last generation they stopped releasing big titles and only had Kinect games, then they abandoned Kinect and still had basically no big titles. Abandoned already, just third party support. XBox original was simply just abandoned entirely. Kinect was then abandoned two years after because it was a hype machine for nothing more than profit and there were no games that actually did anyth...
Thing is.. The game is still not out on the market. It's easy to do this with servers dedicated for one demo. For all those physics and players interacting with all of those bits and pieces in how they display it it's not realistically going to happen at launch to the same effect. MS have exaggerated "new" technology several times in the past. I have no doubt it will get a nice boost. But, the game itself is basic gameplay and nothing special. The graphics are okay and while...
@Trikster-Gamer
I'm telling it like it is. Sorry not everyone is going to blindly follow a brand name. If you are a true Halo fan then you wouldn't be looking forward to the new Halo games. Did you only care for online or did the story and world mean anything to you? Because, the new games have no respect for consistency and timeline. Of course im not going to buy it.
If I'm trolling then explain why. Trolling used to mean teasing something in a ...
Well. Apparently, super soldiers means they have super powers. The impact was non-existant as if they don't weigh hundreds of pounds with those suits on bundled with their accelerated free fall and then bouncing off the snowy rough terrain and going at it like a mosh pit rather than elite and highly trained soldiers.
I want a serious game. Not a Crysis cast of characters and incoherency bundled with silly "go for it" events to face another human apocalypse from ...
It won't really save much money. Unless, you have extreme energy cost in your area. But, the less power means less heat. So, that means possibly longer lasting but at the least less fan noise on paper.
@XBLSkull
MGS is an iconic video game franchise no matter how you slice it. This new entry is far more easier for a modern gamer to get into. Sure, they don't know a lot of story. But, the gameplay is very inviting in this one.
Mad Max looks fantastic. But, to even think it will outsell MGS as a chance is purely stupidity. It won't.
Everyone knew what you meant by "there are more people who don't play MGS compared to the peop...
Except. You specifically gave two perfect examples of why a higher cost game is better.
There are some good F2P games. You already know them. But, overall F2P is a heaping pile of garbage releases fueled by tons of hype until release and then the disappointing pay-2-win articles start hitting. If there is no proof of this games worth then there is nothing to invest in for a F2P title. We get it. His name is recognized. But, he's not relevant anymore to consider investing ...
@Cindy-Rella
Come on now. Just because it was hyped up and is on XBox doesn't make it special. This is one of the most poor uses of "the cloud" in terms of technically advanced anything. Super basic AI, low player amounts, basic destruction like any other typical game. I really dislike the game because I find it repetitive and nothing innovative aside from bragging rights for having mechs that I find boring. But, in general people like the game. And, despite tha...
That's to be expected from a game whose modern entries are written by different authors that only know about the Halo universe because they were assigned a contract for a certain amount of books. It's a slap in the face. Bungie didn't have to fully abandon the series. They just knew that at this moment there were no proper ideas to revitalize it for a proper sequel or trilogy. I hope that they regain the franchise eventually as their own.
Halo 4's campaign is extremely inadequate and generic. Very inconsistent and pulls typical stunts to pretend it has character and plot. AI freaking out and the guy trying to pull rank on Master Chief, the savior of the human race and the most experienced ally they have. It turned from an action game to a soap opera branded with Halo content, until they got back to the actual game. Which was an unjustified sequel that merely spawned a bigger than ever kind of enemy to cash in more money fo...
This is slightly appropriate but your comment history is still questioned. It's a good handheld. Unfortunately Sony made poor efforts for exclusives and should of at the very least released remastered PlayStation classics on it and made appropriate ports for PS3 titles. It should have native PS1 and PS2 support. Can't even download PS1 games from the console itself. You could at launch but they make you connect it to the console to do this now.

@kal0psia
I am being thorough. I explained everything and gave thorough examples. The servers DO process everything. The reason it is not the same degree as Crackdown 3 is not because its servers are any different. It is doing the exact same process for processing physics. The reason for the different level of physics is because of the scale at which they are taking the same process to. I would like someone or you to respond and tell me how thorough I am and what I haven'...
@kal0psia
Wrong. This doesn't mean the server does no work. The client typically allows the player to perform a set amount of actions before giving or getting feedback from the server. This is basically universally adopted to give the server breathing room and not to knock the player offline for lack of connection for a mere fraction of a second. Much of the time the client does process some of the physics but the server does as well and it gives the final result back to ...
EXACTLY. It has to make sense. It can't just happen because it came to mind. Should we have Samus be a man in a new game? No. It's stupid. It isn't sexist at all. It just is what it is.
If I wanted to play as a girl in Zelda I would want a solid story played as Zelda, but it's hard to elaborate on because of their tri-forces being bound to themselves. Link is courage and always will be. I would love a game to play as both. When Link gets trapped the cutscene e...
@donthate
Scale-able doesn't change what it is. Other servers have been processing physics for well over a decade. The only reason it is referred to as "scale-able" is because they have a ton of extra servers reserved for game servers, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Business, and all sorts of random content. They still had Live issues occur from player load. It isn't a full proof system. It won't be like you are drag racing and have access to a horsepower b...
@Kal0psia
Hello! JerdDaNERD7.
The fact that it is a mmo is proof the physics are cloud computed. Every player observes the same physics.
That is like saying your inventory in WoW isn't on the cloud because the items are in-engine and only you see them. It is all hosted and calculated on a server. No, this isn't a proper example for physics because they are basically non existant in WoW. Roblox, Everquest, MineCraft, Garry's Mod, ...
@poppinslopps
Yeah friggin right dude.
Everquest is an enormous voxel based world with far more polygons in complex shapes that are entirely destructible rather than many basic polygons making up one building. This also with vastly more players and far more AI and complex gameplay and creation systems in place. It doesn't matter? Get out of here.
What Crackdown 3 does is sweet and all and I'm sure it will be better fun but it seriousl...
@FlexLuger
Where else would the AI from an online dedicated server be processed? Does WoW not process their AI? Does TitanFall not process their AI? Does LoL not process their AI? If all the subscription MMO's out there don't process their own AI then what are people paying monthly for? Are dedicated servers unheard of to you until Microsoft spoke of "The Cloud"??

The reason for the hate of the big titles is because of how far they fell from their prime. The storylines suffered. The gameplay changed too much. And, some don't offer enough content. One of these is nearly a yearly release, Forza, which doesn't add much to the new games until it's been a couple iterations. And, the new Fable is still a spin off of a downhill franchise. So, it's not that everyone thinks these games are going to be bad. But, it's to be expected based on t...
