@Consoleslateagain
No one said the game was designed for next-gen, except you. You said GTAV was designed for next-gen.
We were talking about how stupid your comment saying that GTAV was made for next-gen yet you are downplaying TLoU which was actually made on a game engine completely designed to be used for next-gen.
You don't know how development works.. Do you? It certainly isn't simply turning things up or down and it works.
@Consoleslateagain
TLoU game engine was entirely designed for PS4. This is a fact. Naughty Dog has said this. TLoU is essentially a next-gen title but they scaled down the graphics to be on PS3.
How can you say that GTAV is made for next-gen and then say TLoU isn't? GTAV was completely made for last gen, with future porting in mind. They spent 5 years to push both of those consoles as far as they could go.
So, a GTAV port is supposedly de...
@consoleslateagain
That is universally accepted as a "console exclusive". It isn't a "PS fanboy" thing.
At your below comment about PC exclusives. You say "Does that mean every PC game is exclusive because its not on consoles"... Yes? If it's on PC and not on consoles then what other platform would it be on? That sounds like a 100% exclusive.
You're posting some of the dumbest and ignorant self-spinn...
Except.. This isn't an idea by Sony. Read the article yourself and stop blindly raging at Sony. It is an analyst, and it's not really a bad idea, but it's not a big deal either.
It is not at all like pre-loaded DLC. If you buy a $60 game and it has a $15 DLC with missions and more story and such then that is a problem, because they basically sold you a complete product, but locked some of the content to pretend like it is DLC to gain more money.

Here we go, again.
@No_Limit
Well, it's clearly not made for ignorant people like you that judge a game by the name alone and call the whole list garbage.
You don't necessarily have to use it with motion controllers or have to move your head much. The 3D is supposedly so much better than 3DTV's.
I mainly would like it just for little head movements and the 3D functionality. Racing games have to be amazing on it. Though it might be really weird since you won't be physically looking at your racing wheel if you have one set up.
I've been saying the same thing for weeks. Consoles already have that "to the metal" aspect that DX12 is trying to bring to PC.
So glad someone finally cleared it up. Nothing like having a good chuckle at all the people that argued self imagined misconceptions about how this was going to work and then being shot down by their own favored company.
I just hope they take advantage of DX12 and start porting some games over to PC, even if it's a...
They likely would have upped the resolution if they could, but you don't want to go in between 900p and 1080p. This "10%" increase isn't enough to fill that up to 1080p. That's about 500,000 pixels increase. Which is one third of the pixels that make up 900p.
About your Lukas comment. So, what's wrong that he was excited about the possibility of 1080p? That doesn't mean he can't be excited that they found other things to improve. Do you think...
Eh, gaming on a big TV makes it even more apparent because the pixels are of a larger size individually.
Uh, resolution is exactly that, pushing more on screen. Showing more of the image.
I get what you're saying, but don't take shots at the fact that competitor games are 1080p, when they so far haven't sacrificed any gameplay to achieve that.
What features eight years ago? Things like cross-game chat? The PS3 was not designed to do that in the first place. Trying to implement that would have downed the performance of games themselves, since it's a process that would run while interacting with your games. They don't butcher something just to say they have it. And, cross-game chat isn't exactly innovative. It's just convenience.
Duplicate.

I thought that the ending of Bioshock: Infinite was a great twist except for, *SPOILER*, they start having duplicate Elizabeth's appear and drown him in the river. That just didn't make sense. Being baptized again, sure. But, why the drowning?
@AngelicIceDiamond
Yea, because we haven't already had several "Microsoft Won e3" articles! Oh.. Wait!

This is why I can't stand most articles.
They make up what certain terms mean or change them around and proceed to imitate every other journalist in style and wording.
A "video game movie" is a movie based on a video game. Games have become far more cinematic in recent years. Are all of those "movie video games" now?
The parity clause exists. It has nothing to do with graphics. It means that a game can't launch on another platform and then come out on X1; it must launch on both platforms at the same time, or first on X1. It also didn't exist around 360. So, you made that up.
Microsoft funded Dead Rising 3. So, yes, they have a say in its production as well as its PC port.
You can actually take the cap off, but they didn't bother to fix the game so that the physics and other aspects are basically doubled when you unlock it to 60fps. So when unlocked it is basically broken. FromSoftware had practically no PC experience and they listened to PC gamers to release DS1 on PC which they said would have some issues but those weren't that bad and then for DS2 they fixed it and made a really solid PC release. Capcom and the Dead Rising team already have PC experi...
@nicksetzer1
That is not at all how it works, and as even more confirmation about how wrong you are about how it works, this developer for the game itself is telling us that it's not going to be native 60fps not because it is difficult but because the higher ups don't want to focus on the product and fix it they just want to quickly port it on another platform for some quick cash.
@SonofGod and Elite3Nick
Well, seeing how DX12 is basically trying to adapt the "to the metal" aspect of the XBox One and every other console.. And that X1 is basically using a modified DX11 that is essentially what DX12 is. Consoles have had this low level API since forever ago. They are merely adapting it to PC. Sure, from development they will increase performance, but just like past updates to improve console performance, it is going to be minor. The console har...
And all of Microsoft's ideas were proposals from other companies, Kinect, taken from PC, Live, and taken from Steam as well as hundreds of video games that featured achievements.
The PlayStation 2 HDD and network adapter were released on July 19, 2001 in Japan. The Original XBox came out November 15 2001. Months before. I guess by your logic Sony innovated here..
Motion controls were done in arcades even before Nintendo experimented with them.
