An OK horror series left behind. It had some great ideas, but it never knew how to play to its strengths. Instead, it came out like just another RE4 clone.

I would love for a third entry to come out, but it needs to learn to lean in on the psychological aspect and move away from the generic "pew pew" ideology at the center of the gameplay loop. It doesn't need to abandon it; it just needs to put it into better context, is all.

Also, try a fi...

They're finally fixing the godawful inventory system? Yes!

Fuck yes... That is all.

SimpleSlave announces that you have a large backlog of games. Yeah, you. We all do. So, you know, just wait until the prices tank and go play some of those great games you paid money for.

Seriously, it's that easy. And in a few months? Nab that new game for less than half the price. Trust me, you'll be used to waiting, no problem.

There seem to be people here making assumptions with nary an ounce of sense of humor between them, but the fact that you didn't get the "★★☆☆☆" reference shows me you didn't even play the game. Classic.

It is what it is.

Hopefuly they fix their inventory problem. Between The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk, this has been one of the worst aspect of their games. Pressing that Inventory button is scarier than any Silent Hill game for sure.

Is that even an accomplishment nowadays? I mean, good for them I guess, but that's not saying much.

Can we get more PS1 and PS2 games on the store? Come on, Sony. Remember when you used to be a game company too? I know, weird...

I remember when the Persona series was gritty, horror oriented and, well, not this. It's unrecognizable these days. "But at least it sells mOrE!!" Pity.

Can we have Quantum Break? Not an amazing game, but a great curiosity, a serviceable 3rd person shooter, some crazy effects, lots of FMVs, and a connection to the rest of Remedy's Universe. It helps complete the set on the PS5 is all I'm saying.

lol

Hopefully. Because this is was a farce from the beginning. The Marathon IP deserves the Halo treatment and not this GAAS trash.

That's the $800 million dollar question, isn't it? While a normal dev would've just done that, while spending the next 11 years updating, expanding, and supporting the game, Chris Roberts saw the possibilities in doing the complete opposite, took his shot, and hit the Jackpot instead. Unbelievable that it actually worked.

I guess we'll see just how much longer they can keep up with the charade - eleven more years? - before it all comes crashing down in clas...

Chris Roberts really hit the jackpot with this thing. That guy has been living the high life based on broken promises, feature creeps, what ifs, non existence deadlines, roadmaps to roadmaps to roadmaps, and, no real games. But instead, an eternal Early Access buffoonery shit show that I imagine will be dragged all the way to the finish line one way or another. But when will that finish line will be, or how will it look like, it's anyone's guess. Something tells me it'll be the st...

It's insane how unrecognizable the Persona series has become. This some goofy ass shit.

To be fair, the $700 million in development costs were over the game’s lifecycle, not just development - Black Ops Cold War (2020) in this case. And of course, this also include their marketing campaign.

But then, you take into account Activision Blizzard's shenanigans for not paying taxes, even getting tax refunds, moving billions to tax havens, plus all the money paid by Microsawft and Sony for exclusive deals, and I bet you that figure is substantially way lower tha...

I'm sure they banish people to the Nightmare Frontier if they as much as whisper the name in the office.

2020's Quake Eternal was great. And now HeXen: The Heretic Ages is looking fire. So hopefully they'll release a Doom game soon.

Yes. All of Sony's Remasters - all the ones stemming from the PS4 library - are cash-grabs. When all they needed to do was patch them to run at 60fps, up the resolution, and be done with it. But then they had to actually care about Bloodborne, and that's a cardinal sin over at Sony.

On a side note. I just got The Sinking City Remastered for free, because I owned the game. Weird...
