I see you forgot to mention the Wii. Nintendo "turned it around" to the tune of 100 million consoles. And as far as this generation, Wii U has an almost 2 million lead over xbox one and that lead is increasing now. Xbox has finished last gen dead last. So who really needs to "turn it around?"

Expected. That's better than it sold last March, and there were no games released this March.
Dreamcast was also the best system ever made for fighting games. I still have it to play Marvel v Capcom, Street Fighter III, Powerstone 1 and 2, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter 3, etc.. No other system comes close IMO. I think the Wii U has a chance to be the best system ever made for platformers. Rayman Legends, Tropical Freeze, NSMBU/NSLU, Super Mario 3D World, Trine 2: Director's Cut. That's an excellent list for a system so young.
Sonic Adventure, the Dreamcast's flagship launch game, only sold 2.4 million units. NSMBU already beat that easily. 3D World will beat that in a matter of months. Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros will both beat that in a matter of weeks.
Dreamcast was great, but Sega was coming off a series of flops. Sega Saturn, 32x, Sega CD. Nintendo is coming off the Wii and DS which sold like hotcakes, and currently has the 3DS, which prints money. The Wii U will be fine.
According to IGN Nintendo refuted this. Oh well. May 30th is still pretty close.
I'm glad Super Metroid made it. Think they should've double-dipped and added Metroid Prime to the list as well. Also wouldn't mind a nod to Dead Space. It's sci-fi as much as survival horror. Some of the Final Fantasies could also qualify. Or some of the Wing Commander or Rogue Squadron games.

Wii U owners bought over 500k copies of Zombi U, even though it's garbage. And Wii U owners bought more copies of Rayman Legends than 360 or PS3 owners, even though Ubisoft screwed us with the delay. They're pissed because their gimped ports aren't selling well? I own a Wii U, PS3, and soon to own a PS4. I bought Splinter Cell, AC III, Zombie U, and Rayman Legends on Wii U, but I won't be buying Watch Dogs or AC VI on Wii U, because I'd rather get the better versions e...
They'll do a quick and dirty port of the PS3 version to Wii U eventually, if it sells well. But it will be 6 months to a year later so nobody will buy it.
