Holding out for an announcement that these DLC characters are coming to the Wii U version. My original plan was to get the PS3 version if they came out and said "no" to Wii U DLC. However, if they don't tell me one way or the other soon I probably won't care enough to get the game for any system.
How much time does that take? 6 months to make miiverse support and gamepad play for 8 games? Do they have like one guy working on it? If they want the Wii U virtual console to thrive then they better stop treating it as an afterthought.
Wii U owner. I'm dissapointed. I have all these games either transferred over from my Wii or on my 3DS (ambassador program). The only thing even mildly interesting is upgrading my copy of Super Mario World. I know it's only the launch, but they made a BIG mistake by not releasing anything for hardcore early adopter Nintendo fans to get excited about. Not one surprise game. Not one game that hasn't already been available for download. Not cool.
Agreed. It's a great feature. Nintendo makes more money and you and your friends get to try out games you might not have bought for yourself.
Why? I've enjoyed every single Nintendo home console. And every one of them has allowed me to play at least one "game of the generation" type game. Sometimes two or three or more of those type of games.
Good list. Lot of games on all systems that I'm excited for. Why isn't Wii U listed under Splinter Cell: Blacklist? Ubisoft confirmed that it's in development. I'd say it's got as good odds of being at E3 as the other versions.
Meh. I'm much more interested in the Yoshi's Island sequel for 3DS.
As long as you have to pay for online play that you get free on Nintendo and Sony systems I'll not be buying a Microsoft system. What's the point? I have a PS3, Wii U, and gaming PC and I'll be getting a PS4. So I can play everything but Halo and Gears of War. And I can play it for free.
Probably going to upgrade most of my Wii VC games, but I'm going to wait for Super Metroid. Why upgrade it for $1.50 this month when I can buy it for 30 cents next month?
Well that list doesn't have any eshop games including Super Metriod for 30 cents, which is a steal to end all steals. It also doesn't include Wonderful 101 which is listed as "coming soon" on the eshop. I also doubt much more is coming out on the other systems. The month of May isn't exactly a hotbed of gaming activity.
I can see this happening. The Wii U will be the least expensive of the three and it will have the most games out for it. It's not rocket science. Of course how it performs versus the other two is not indicative of who will finish this gen in 1st place.
Dragon Quest X is a Wii port. A lot of Japanese gamers have already played it. Was he expecting the Wii U version to set Japan on fire?
That was a pretty bare bones "impression." Nothing about how the game looked in HD, the animations, detail on pikmin, fruit, grass, etc. How it was to fight the boss he beat and the other critters. I learned nothing.
I agree with this article. I'm going to burn my copy of Bioshock Infinite right now...oh wait...I downloaded it on steam. I guess I'm going to have to burn my laptop. I'll do that later tonight...after I play some more of this awesome game. A decent joke article. Not as funny as it could've been because the satire was laid on a little too thick to be taken seriously by all but the most blind fanboys.
The Unreal 4 engine is made to be scalable. It has nothing to do with the power of the Wii U. Epic are just being assholes. They won't take the time to develop it for Wii U until the install base makes them reconsider. Same with EA and Frostbite 3. They make their engine run for systems that aren't out yet and ignore the one that is, because they have an antagonistic relationship with Nintendo. That's partly Nintendo's fault, but not all Nintendo's fault.
Well I guess it's good that the game drought is over then.
I'm going to get a PS4, but not at launch. I didn't get my Wii U at launch either. Or my 3DS. Or my PS3. The last system I bought at launch was the Wii, and that will probably be the last one I ever buy at launch.
I actually think the PS4 and Nextbox will struggle too. I don't think people are ready to spend $400+ on a new gaming console. A ton of people are buying PS3s now for that reason. I know I'm going to wait a while before I get a PS4. I still like my PS3 too much. If they had backwards compatibility then I might get one at launch, but they didn't do that. So I'll be chillin' with my Wii U, PS3, and gaming PC for a while (can run Bioshock Infinite maxed out).
WTF? They're releasing everything but the one thing I actually want to buy from them. The power pak that I pre-ordered two months ago:/
