It's a very similar screen to what's in the ROG Ally X. It's not the same crappy LCD that was in Switch 1.
$400 is reasonable IMO. Any more than that and you're pushing up against the cost of PS5 and I don't think they want to do that. Plus there's no telling how the tariffs might affect Nintendo. I'd guess there will be a $450 OLED down the road and a $350 Switch 2 lite.
There are a bunch of people who think all Switch games look like Detective Pikachu Returns. Metroid Prime 4 looks very good to me personally, but also comparable to some of the other well optimized Switch games with a strong art style.
343 had many Retro Studios devs who worked on the original Metroid Prime on the team when they made Halo 4. Also Retro Studios hired a former character modeler who worked on Halo. The later Halo games and the Metroid Prime series share a lot of DNA.
It’s not the Switch 2 version. They said before this direct that there would be no information on the Switch 2. That includes games. The Switch 2 version will probably be shown in the direct where they reveal the new hardware.
Dave the Diver is great. Have it on Switch but I'll also get this version since it comes with essential.
I could actually see this happening after such a gross miscalculation on BG3. Xbox could throw money at Sawyer and tell him to make a BG3 clone in the Pillars universe.
I hope they don't stop there. Would love to see tracks from other F-Zero games or even some original tracks to keep the game fresh.
There's a few Warhammer games that I've really enjoyed. Warhammer Vermintide 2, Warhammer 40,00 Boltgun, and Total War: Warhammer 3 are good examples.
Just use dev mode. It's $20 for all your emulation needs and peace of mind.
It doesn't really matter. Most 3rd party devs don't use all the features on the Series X because the PS5 is almost always the lead platform. That won't change with a Series Pro.
I'll stick with Vampire Survivors
I'm glad it's there for those who need it. I tried it with Gief and while it was fun at first doing an SPD with a button press, eventually it lost some of the fun I got from being able to do it with the old input in game when I wanted to.
Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey and Metroid Prime Remastered would be my top 3 recommendations. Splatoon 3, Tropical Freeze and Luigi's mansion are also good gets. After that there are tons of exclusive 1st and 3rd party JRPGs and also a ton of indies that are nice to play on the go.
The big 1st party online multiplayer games on Switch typically run at 60 fps. Smash, Kart, Splatoon, etc. Mario Odyssey also runs at 60. Agreed with the rest of your point though.
This game probably works really well in VR
Looks like the deal will go through. Doubt much changes for CoD except that Xbox would become lead platform for console development.
The CMA used a survey to come to their conclusion. Think it’s fair game for Microsoft to use a survey to challenge that conclusion.
Sony claimed the acquisition would do great harm to them. All the judge did was tell them that they have to provide documentation to back up that claim. How is that scummy?
That would also raise the price. Minimum wage in the United States is a lot more than it is where they currently manufacture. We would also have to reindustrialize the country, which isn't going to happen.
