I'm good till 2024. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
Xbox One is an order of magnitude weaker than PS5. Insomniac's last PC game was for the Oculus Rift which runs on a GTX 970. So again, it's no surprise that the PS5 is the least hardware constrained system they've developed for.
The game looks great. That quote is silly though. Isn't it always the case that the newest PlayStation you're working on is the least hardware constrained that you've worked on?
1) Naughty Dog
2) Playground Games
3) Retro Studios
4) Monolith Soft
5) Insomniac
6) Obsidian Entertainment
7) Larian Studios
8) Shin'en Multimedia
9) I'd put Nintendo on here, but I don't consider every game they make as must play.
The game looks amazing. I can't wait to play it.
Pretty sure they get paid whenever a developer uses their software. The new gen consoles are a huge market for them to tap into.
Nice. Thanks.
What's the resolution on the 120 fps mode?
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but the Dreamcast launch was the best I've ever experienced. Soul Calibur by itself is one of the greatest launch games of all time. Add Sonic Adventure, Power Stone, Ready 2 Rumble, NFL 2K, NFL Blitz, House of the Dead 2, and like 5 good racing games and they had pretty much everything covered except RPGs.
If $70 becomes the new normal for big games I expect more people to gravitate to indie games.
Probably will end up double dipping on this one like Doom 2016 (Switch version + higher end version). Only question is if I should opt for PC for the higher end or just wait for next gen releases. My base PS4 is starting to struggle hard with newer games.
Glad it’s getting a demo. It’s a great game with fantastic art. Glad it’s getting a demo since it has been largely overlooked. Also excited for the DLC.
Shin'en are so good at getting the most out of Nintendo's hardware. This will be the next game I play after I finish up DQ11S
Great deal on the best version of a great game. I'm about 50 hours in and loving it.
I love the game, but the title of this article is a little misleading. Bug fixes don't really qualify as a "tease" IMO.
If this is like the Earthworm Jim HD remaster I had for PS3 then that's awesome. If it's like the Ducktales remake then count me out.
Pretty sure it’s already on the Japanese eshop
I was already going to get Mario maker 2 so I used a voucher on that. The second voucher will be used on Astral Chain. I was getting them both at launch anyway and I have online already so I doubt I'll regret the savings.
So he's going to include Mega Man 2 but exclude SMB 3, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island and Mario 64? Seems like he's purposefully avoiding those seminal platformers because they would counter his narrative.
Such a hidden gem. Glad they're still supporting it.
