How do you figure they intentionally designed the av cable to be fat so you have to buy the hdmi av adapter when the 360 originally wasn't even designed with an hdmi port? And if I remember correctly MS included the adapter with the hdmi cable anyway.

After years and many updates later maybe the Xbone will finally match what the 360 already does and in many cases does better. Funny though I always figured next-gen would do what current gen does plus some and grow from there. Thanks though for the coming update that adds storage management...a no-brainer that should have been there from the begining.

How about offering $100 to buy back the Kinect needlessly included in every box?

4364d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

An Xbox one with a blu-ray drive and no Kinect would be better. The disc drive is more useful as an all-in-one device should have the ability to play movies from disc.

No, it still comes with Kinect. Would rather lose the Kinect than the disc drive. The disc drive is something I would actually use.

what gimmicks does the kinect offer that are being praised on the PS4? If anything is being praised its the fact that the PS4 camera is optional to buy. There may be games and UI features that take advantage of Kinect, but none of them are mandatory or neccessary. Why require everyone to buy a Kinect when not everyone cares to play Kinect Sports Rivals, use Skype, or use voice to navigate the UI? There is no intelligent or logical argument to require Kinect be sold in every box.

really, its built around it? Than how is it possible for the console to function just fine with it unplugged?

4372d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

great, you like Kinect. Let the rest of us that don't have the option to buy an Xbox without it. Would rather have the extra $100 in my pocket than the few gimmicks Kinect provides. Its already an optional device anyway if you keep it unplugged.

wrong...I would buy one without Kinect at a $100 lower price point. Have owned original Xbox and 360 but have no interest in Kinect and will not buy into it. It's already optional to unplug so why not make it optional to buy

Would much rather lose the Kinect than the disc drive. Maybe lose both and put in a much larger hdd for a price even lower than PS4.

Why no matching white Kinect to go with the white console?

Have to agree with your assesment of the controller. The only reason I can see for them making it smaller, and the triggers and buttons almost too easy to press, is to make it easier for kids to use. I tried the controller out at gamestop and was let down by the reduced size with less to hold on to and the small thumbsticks my thumbs don't sit in well. I'm glad they didn't mess up the controller to much, but definately a step down from the 360 controller. All they needed to do...

If your an adult with large hands the Xbone controller may feel less comfortable. It feels smaller with less to grip onto with your palms. The smaller thumbsticks as well won't allow for your thumb to rest comfortablely in the center either. I also find the thumbsticks to not have enough resistance. They would have been better off keeping the 360 controller; just with an improved d-pad and internal battery compartment

You may find the Xbone controller less comfortable. I myself have large hands and the controller just feels smaller with less to grip on to. Also, the thumbsticks are smaller making it harder for the thumb to rest in the center.

why would a card reader be needed if I intend on buying all games digital off the live marketplace?

4401d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Providing an optional cheaper sku without a disc drive isn't a bad idea though for those that intend on going all digital and don't need the blu-ray or dvd playback functionality. Could allow for price parity with ps4 without ditching kinect.

also missing...profile editing and customization, such as adding a bio or motto to give them a little personaility.

4402d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

They could introduce an Xbone without a disc drive for those that want to go all digital to lower the price. Maye even an sku without kinect and a disc drive for $249-$299? I may open my wallet up at that price.

Because Kinect functionality actually turns many people off. Any game that requires use of Kinect risks an audience limited to those that want to use Kinect, ie those that would buy it seperately. Besides, to much Kinect inclusion makes any game an Xbone exclusive.

Shouldn't surprise anyone, Kinect is meant to be the primary controller on the Xbone. Shoddy controllers all the more reason to use Kinect, maybe even part of MS master plan.
