It was obvious this article was a load of crap simply because their reasons for choosing one version of a game over another - "the controller is better" or "the online is better" simply aren't PROVABLE quantities. The first one is entirely a matter of opinion, and the second one is based on personal experience and (apparently) flat-out misinformation.
But then, I can see where Gamepro is coming from. "THEY'RE PRETTY MUCH EQUAL YOU STUPID FANBOYS"...

Not having voice chat is one thing, buy why bother even implementing text-based chat? Do they really think people will use it?
I'm fairly certain that Nintendo doesn't actually know what this new-fangled "internet" is.
This is a ridiculous joke. Text-based chat in a racing game? It would make more sense to just say "We don't support any sort of player communication, sorry." I mean, for one thing, isn't a USB keyboard against the entire concept of the Wii in the first place? Secondly, why waste the developers' time implementing a chat mechanism that NO ONE will use?

Not being a smartass or anything, I'm just curious if there's any obvious differences between consoles that break and consoles that don't besides "luck".

Well, this is still only the limited software emulation offered by the 80 gig awhile back.
It's not as bad as the 40 gig, with no backward compatability, but not as nice as the 20 or 60 gig, with full hardware backward compatability. The 80 gig is in about the same boat as the 360 in that regard.
Except, of course, the PS2 has a much larger library than the XBox.
It's sad, but entirely believable. Most of my friends aren't into gaming, but of the few I know who own 360's, all of theirs have died, my own included. I think I know one person online whose hasn't yet.
Actually, now that I think about it, there are two friends of mine whose 360 hasn't died, but he just got them in November and December, so that doesn't really count.
Yeah, as I've said before and stand by, the two big mistakes MS made with the 360 were the RRoD and the lack of a standardized HD in all models.
They took one of the few things the original XBox did right and "corrected" it. It's a shame, because they really did fix most of their other mistakes from their first attempt at joining the console world.

HD DVD lost for one main reason, and that was the PS3. You can crunch the numbers or bend the facts any way you want. The simple truth is that, despite the fact that HD DVD offered several superior features over what Blu-ray did, every PS3 Sony sold was a kick in the balls to HD DVD - and the studios behind each format knew that.
Many people, myself included, mocked Sony for trying to make lighting strike twice with their new-disc-format-Trojan-war strategy...
So, in other words, this was a really awful survey that told us absolutely nothing for a couple of reasons:
1) It only counted 360's returned through a certain warranty company - not one sent directly to Microsoft
2) It only tracks up to 10 months after the warranty purchase. Many consoles will fail AFTER this period of time

If PSP software sells so horribly, how come games keep coming out for it? Why do games like GTA, Siphon Filter, Burnout, and Pursuit Force get PSP-based sequels?

I've hated EA for over a decade. So have a lot of old-school gamers.
They have a history of ruining great game studios and solid franchises. They are the enemy of innovative gaming.
I could care less about releasing a new Madden every 13 days or the fact that I could build myself a tower to the moon using the Sims expansions. They destroyed Origin and Westwood Studios, amongst others. For that, they will never be forgiven.

None of these games except maybe the Driver sequel are in any real danger of becoming "vaporware".
Whoever wrote this article is just desperate for hits, and provides nearly no actual evidence that the games might become vaporware other than "Uh, cuz I said so."
I get the feeling he just chose a few of the bigger-name PS3 exclusives and then later decided to make up reasons that they might be vaporware.
