Same problem with movies. I'll take a Wes Anderson movie over a Michael Bay anytime! And by the way, I do have a problem with indies : to many platformers! It's just a genre that I can't stand anymore. Other indies are great.
Just like ARMA4, Minecraft, Terraria... Not every game needs a purpose and in fact, in some cases it's just more interesting that way. What's the point of killing a million monsters to save some kind of imaginary world or some princess ? Some games have great narrative and I love it, but for others, it's just a boring excuse to kill people. I prefer a game that have no point at all (even if I don't think it's the case with No Man's Sky).
I don't think it's fair to hope for that level of epickness from other indies. This game is just one of a kind and procidural. BUT if a small team made this, AAA companies have no excuses to not do better with all the money and man power they have. No man's sky is setting the bar for AAA, not indies.
I think the price is kind of reasonable if the games are newer. I want to play South Park the stick of truth, but I don't want to pay 60$ for it. Even at one month rental for 30$ is 50% off retail price and I have more than enough time to finish it. I don't care about owning a game. I play it once and then, I pass to the next one.
This is everything I always wanted in a video game.
YES! I know it's not the best game of last gen, but it's one of my favorite. What an amazing story and fun gameplay.
I can't stand the controls in MGS and they look as stiff as ever.
Cool looking game...
Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars!
It is or will be, but I guess it will run better on PS4 and remote play works like a charm.
Great! I wanted to remote play The Wolf Among Us in bed, the same place I read all the Fables. Perfect continuity!
Same here. As we grew old, my friends stoped gaming.
Yep! I registered, but no confirmation email yet...
AMAZING!! Free Vita and cheap PS4 upgrade. It's more than I expected.
I usually love Ubisoft games, but by the time I finish the main story and most of the side missions, I feel like I'm done with it and I'm ready for a new game. I have never felt like I was missing something by not purchasing the season pass or DLCs.
Sleeping Dogs!!! WHOO!!!
Yep. I think he looks cool and the last I wanted is another Vaas. There is no point in making the same bad guy twice.
All I want from Square Enix it's Sleeping Dogs : Triad Wars. Sleeping Dogs was in my top 5 games of last gen and I can't wait to see the sequel.
I don't want less indies, just more AAA. Without the indies, I would have nothing to play until the end of Q3.
Yes, some platformers, like LBP, are amazingly originals, fun, and wonderful pieces of art. I just never feel the need to finish those games. After a couple stages, I'm done. It's really just a personal preference.
