Oculus Rift will probably be a superior product, but if we want VR to work, we need it in a lot of homes. A lot of people and families don't have gaming PC that can run Rift. They have cheap laptops, netbooks, Macs, tablets and... consoles. Sony have a better chance to democratize VR if they have a reasonably priced quality product that can run on the PS4 than Oculus that (even if the price is good) need a powerful PC.
With the word "driving" in the slogan, it sound like Driveclub, but I wish for No Man's Sky. Exploring the Universe in VR = Best game ever!
I'm surprise that Tomb Raider Definitive edition is not on sale at the same time. You can play the PS3 game for free, or pay a little extra for the definitive edition. It would make sense.
I don't know how it's call, but the "stand by mode" for games when the console is in "stand by", like on the Vita, is the only function I really want. The USB playback or DLNA could be cool, but most TVs do it already.
alexkoepp said "a good game", which I'm sure it also means fully functional.
Good luck with your dream!

Graphics are very important in some cases. My most anticipating games this gen, for now, is The Witcher 3 which, I agree, would be better on a powerful PC that can run the amazing graphics at it's full potential. The other one is No Man's Sky, which does not have the best graphics, probably no story at all, but the design is absolutely amazing and the immensity of the world is mind blowing. This is next gen for me. Something unique that would never be possible b...
I honestly don't care about fps. My priorities are 1: Story, 2: game mechanics, 3: design (I don't mean graphics, polygons or 1080p). The games that I appreciates are just an interactive way to tell a story and those 3 aspects are more important in that case than FPS.
Take the more boring game you have ever played in your life and make it with new gen graphics and 60fps and it still won't be a good game. Not if you don't fix the story so you care about wh...
I hate the feel of high frame-rate movies. It looks so fake and weird. When a game is made to have a cinematic feel to it, 30fps is just perfect.
@yezz
Yes it is. It makes good stuff better, not bad stuff good. Just like blu ray can't make a bad movie good compared to DVD.
I LOVED Gone Home, but I got it on a Steam Sale and I would not have payed 20$ for it.
Agreed. It won't make the games more fun, just prettier.
You can never be too proud of your language or culture, as long as it doesn't become some weird racist thing against the others.
At the second I saw the first hanged man after something like 15 minutes I closed my PS4. I want to play again, but... not alone...
I just want to say how much I love you guys. N4G is one of the most civilized gaming community I know. Way fewer idiots than IGN. At least most of you respect all ways of gaming.
Publishers knows that if someone buy one of there games after a year, it probably be used and they won't make a penny on it. In that case, why not selling them on the cheap to Sony. It's better than nothing.
Patcher is a Patcher fanboy. He's the Perez Hilton of video games.
Day of the Tentacle was the best point & click IMO. I just love the humour and the time travel angle.
They did the same thing with the iPad and the surface. Classic Microsoft.
The power of IMAGINATION!
