Water effects are nice but nothing new, when Halo 3 had the exact same effect you'll appreciate it at first, but you'll soon get used to it like normal water. The textures still lack depth, like in the buildings in the last part of the presentation looked flat with a slight darkening where a bumpmap would be due.

You guys are really exaggerating, it looks like Resistance 1 with a much nicer colour pallete, but the "technologies" he listed are already quite old, I liked how they ragdolled the corpse of the marine, but it just looks pretty medicore to me in general.

It's a state of the art engine, they want to hold that title as long as possible, have done for over a year now. Crysis on the 360 would be SEVERLY dumbed down, PS3 too, it's possible but not to the same extent.
You can argue that FarCry 2 is on the consoles, but it looks very dull in comparison to PC.
Warhead was an amazing game, graphically obviously but gameplay was so intense and action packed. one of the best of the year no doubt.
