Multiplayer is too weak to have any lasting ability, but you can play through the single player a lot of times and not get bored of it.

Half Life 2 fair enough could compete, to be honest I'd prefer Halo 1, as it's fun to replay, especially in Coop!

Far more enjoyable on Xbox, the PC version is a lame port, graphics are all messed up. Even the Xbox Originals on the 360 feels more like proper Halo 1 than the PC version.
Online wasn't much better to be honest, Halo 2 & 3 is where it's at for that.

Christ Killzone and Resistance are nearly as bad, soon be worse when they launch.
Microsoft didn't let you sign up for live and then say "do what ever you want" if people find things offensive they have the right to complain.
Lag depends on the people you play with, and where the server is.

Halo 3 engine was pretty much the Halo 1 engine on steroids wasn't it?
The lighting was amazing in Halo 3, but the textures and models were so horrid, and it was the jaggiest game I've played in ages.
I can tell you now, it's a really flawed gem.
There are loads of bugs and things that would annoy the hell out of you, like swinging a weapon around or the slow and akward controls, to the terrible driving model.
Despite this, it's the only game in the last few years where I really had to THINK about how do I complete this puzzle, that's what I enjoy about the game. Reviewers have too high of a standard today, I think they were really harsh on it.
A 360 launch title, that was godly to play back in 2006 it had thousands of players.
Now? to my surprise quite an active community with a few hundred every day! Achievement whoring not really because we just played like back in the old days! :)
The PS3 games I played online, Motorstorm had bad lag *I blame my friends internet* and Resistance he didn't enjoy, but I found it okay online. I'm sure every game will have some sort of active community, PS3, 360 or Wii!

Yes, Halo is really REALLY MILKED OUT IN SEQUELS isn't it? I don't see the problem with another Halo game...
Lets hope it's true, I'd like to see what a third person Halo game would be like, not just over the shoulder when carrying a turret in Halo 3 but the gameplay main focus on third person.
But you'll be getting one hell of a game! Rent it though, no real replayability since you never really die.

Well to be honest, so is LBP, Resistance and Killzone 2, but then again so is Halo 3 and CoD4, and Half Life 2 and OH YES so much is overrated but these days it's R2 & KZ2.
Because Killzone 1 destroyed every single Halo game, didn't it Prime?
Guerrilla Games have yet to make a brilliant game, so I can see them rushing under pressure from fans and Sony, even if they have ages to complete it.
